Really solid start to the season, especially with a cliffhanger in episode 1.

Agree. I thought it started out great with Julie in the car and the bomb ready to go off.

I liked the flashbacks to 2009 when DB and Julie were Seattle cops pursuing Gosselaar.

Very suspenseful episode. However, felt a little weird without Brass being around. Looks like this story will be recurring. I don't think they will pick up with it next Sunday.

Tonight's episode was supposed to be about a mass shooting, but it was replaced by a repeat.

Football ran long on the East coast and CSI would have aired at 11pm, so CBS gave the West Coast a repeat and canceled the East airing.

Ahhh..... I thought the episode might have been postponed after the Ottawa incident or something... Thanks.

FYI

New episode of CSI tonight. Didn't air last week because football ran late. Some DVRs, including mine may have tonight's episode listed as a repeat.

Check that. No new CSI again for entire USA. East got hosed because NFL ran 1 hour late.

Ok, so no one got new episodes the past 2 weeks, right?

I guess they'll just catch up at some point because I'm sure it'll continue as long as the football season is running

Yeah, I was confused as to why the episodes weren't matching their summary descriptions. Now I know it's effing football screwing things up.

One factual boner in tonight's episode: they say the AR-15 has a rate of fire of 600 rounds per minute. Only fully automatic military weapons can shoot that fast. The semi-automatic rate is around 45 rounds per minute.

It's a typical Hollywood anti-gun screed. What else would you expect? It's not the first time CSI has has done a "message" episode.

You gun people, always linking your weapons and your boners.

Do you know how easy it is to modify an AR-15 to fire 600 rounds per minute?

You seem under the impression that any yahoo with a Dremel and a #6 ball-peen hammer can take an AR-15 and turn it into a lead-belching fully automatic machine of death. That's BS.

Finally a new episode! It was "Girls Gone Wilder" for me. Football has screwed up the past few weeks.

Nope. Unless you're from Canada, last nights episode was the first time it aired in the U.S. Whenever sports postpones an airing in the East, nobody gets it.

For the record, I live near LA and have Directv. Last week the CSI Cyber backdoor pilot aired. 2 weeks ago, a different episode from last season aired.

Here in San Jose it was On Demand the next day....funny thing was it was removed by Xfinity a few days later. There was some passing conversation about it at work so I wasnt the only who saw it. Another thing was the same ep. description was posted the last two weeks. I didnt pay it any mind because xfinity screws up like that all the time.

George Eads (Nick) is leaving the show after this season. It's looking like there won't be a season 16 anyways. Ratings have taken a huge hit in the new timeslot along with the episode order getting cut to 18 instead of 22.

Jorja Fox will be the last remaining series regular cast member from the 1st season.

Bummer. I still enjoy the hell out of this show. I can't imagine Cyber being any better.

I know they might not have been series regulars, but Eric Szmanda (Greg), David Berman (David) and Robert David Hall (Dr. Robbins) have been on since the first season (actually, could've sworn Hall was a series regular as well).

As a side, hopefully the series finale, if this is the last, will at least bring back Petersen.

Re: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS) -- Series Thread

Not surprised about Eads leaving. He's had disputes with the writers before now and wasn't in episodes as a result. He wasn't in the recent episode about the convention shooting, and I don't think the writers even bothered to explain why Nick wasn't present to help out. I'd be ok if they pulled the plug on this show. It's been stale for a while.

Its a procedural. Not sure how it's stale. It is what it is.
