After last week episode, I'm expecting a pretty quiet episode tonight.

Great episode, Don really has hit rock bottom We haven't had a Peggy episode in a while, and the final scene was just perfect.

2nd half of this season definitely has a manic quality to it

Favorite moment was in the ambulance, when Peggy asks the attendant whether Abe will be ok. The shrug was priceless!

This is the first time I actually paid attention to the synopsis before watching an episode. Do they always have so little to do with what happens in the episode or did I fall asleep and miss the significance of the beach trip or any mention of Roger's dreams.

Whoa, HOT Betty (bam-A-lam)

We all knew they were going to do it, but it's nice to see her looking good again!

Usually they have a tad more to do with the episode, but are just as vague. This time they were a little more misleading than usual.

Finally 2 solid show in a row this seaosn, it's about time. Don's an idiot, but maybe this little talk with Megan will drive it home. Did anyone think Bob was gonna tell Pete about Joan and Roger in that scene?

Oscar Pistirious should use that Peggy storyline as the cornerstone of his defense. He should play that episode in court.

I had a good laugh when Peggy stabbed Abe. An even bigger laugh when Peggy mentions that he's going to make it, looks over to the paramedic for confirmation and he just shrugs. Peggy's expression was great.

Poor Peggy thinking that Ted was going to jump at the opportunity once he found Peggy was single again. Loved how they showed her stuck between the two important men in her life, but both doors are closed to her - and all she has is SCDPCGC.

What is up with Bob and Pete? It seemed like there was something going on that I missed. Ho do they even know each other (other than passing at the office)?

Weird, this didn't record for me on Fios. Even in activity it doesn't even show there was an episode scheduled.

That's pretty much all they do know of each other. Bob tries to help out/kiss up to the higher ups, and had some information that could help Peter.

Bob went to Pete because of what Joan told him.

I understand that but he told Joan something about how nice Pete was (I forget the exact statement) and when he was explaining to Pete why Joan told him about his mother he said it was understandable considiering what had gone on between them (or something to that effect, I'll have to rewatch it).

A few episodes back Bob gave Pete a coffee and I think he's offered to go get things for Pete a couple of times.

I don't know what Bob's deal is. Is he just a genuinely nice guy (rare for this show), or is there something else going on? He did get to go to the beach with Joan, so good for him.

Bob's the goyim Ginsberg. Maybe they'll be involved in some big plot point maybe they'll return to Planet Poochie.

Fios here as well, and it wasn't going to record for me either. I happened to look at my scheduled recording list earlier in the day and noticed it wasn't listed, and I knew there was an episode that night so I manually recorded it. First time I remember that happening with Fios.

Re: Mad Men -- "The Better Half" -- 5/26/13

I was dying laughing when Peggy stabbed Meathead. Everytime the show came back from commerical break, the TV rating in the corner had a 'V' for violence, so I was expecting some kind of attack on Peggy from a neighborhood hodlum. Paid off great. I felt bad for laughing, but the whole ambulance scene was priceless.
