Strange NBC usually shows this promos during Leno & Fallon but the last 2 weeks they have not aired except for the Tina Fey pregnant with an alien and Helms this week playing the piano.

The Office, Hangover 2, the Toy Story 3 win and now a SNL appearance - what a year for Lee Unkrich.

Ed Helms doesn't have what it takes to host a show like this. That should be quite obvious to everyone watching.

I'm always impressed with the timing on the song memories sketch. That seems like it would be difficult to do live.

Pretty good show last week with Tina Fey, and what is destined to be great next week with Justin Timberlake.
Helms is a bit player. I hope they don't have him back to host again.

No comments on finally getting the real Lindsey Buckingham on What's Up With That? I kept thinking it would be great for him to actually make an appearance but didn't think it would actually happen. He should have been the musical guest too but I guess that would have ruined the surprise.
I always get Ed Helms and Jason Sudeikis confused with each other so it's weird seeing them in a sketch next to each other.
Edit: Just finished the show...Justin Bartha from The Hangover might have been a better choice for host. Actually Ken Jeong would be a great choice to host plus he's on NBC's Community. Seems like a no brainer.

What's Up With That was good (another Lindsey Buckingham!), and AmbGayDuo was kind of creative and funny. The only other shout out I can give is to the Ann-Margret sketch...not because it was all that great, but because I have very fond memories of her from when I was a young lad. Aside from that, it felt like Ed Helms was utterly wasted. The low point was the stupid WU singer bit, as excruciatingly unfunny as ever. And black dude, if the only thing you bring to the show is a Will Smith impersonation, it is not enough just to sound like him - you need to have something funny to say. You have three months between appearances on the show to come up with something, so no excuses.

Agree Ed Helms was wasted.

What a great way to bring back Ace and Gary. When they said we were getting a Smigel cartoon, I was hoping for the Duo, and I'm glad I didn't get shafted. Brilliant work, just all around a great way to bring back a classic and make it feel fresh and somewhat innovative.
Great to see the real Lindsey Buckingham show up on What's Up With That. That was long overdue.

Was that the same exact "high fructose corn syrup" bit they played a few weeks ago?? The only part I found to be funny was the Gay Duo skit, otherwise this was a pretty bad episode. The skits felt awfully longer than normal. Is Jay Pharoh only there to do impressions?

Actually, I think any of the people on Community would be good hosts. Except for that old guy who plays Pierce. I don't think he would ever fit in on a show like SNL.

Fred Armisen was the lizard guy. Funny they misspelled Jon Hamm's(John) name in the credits. I thought Hamm and Fallon were fine, but I still would have preferred Colbert and Carell in the live version. They probably got a kick out of playing the villains though!
