Re: Workaholics -- New Comedy Central Series
Finally got around to checking this out over the weekend and watched the first 8 episodes in one sitting. Great stuff. It definitely feels scripted to me, and I agree with the comparison to Always Sunny, though the characters are all much more likeable (likely due to the fact that they aren't just screaming at each other all the time). Anyway, look forward to the show hitting DVD, even though it'll probably be uncensored.

Aside from the first episode, this was my favorite. Ders coming out of the pool with a bone was great!

Some people (myself included) think it takes away from the charm of the occasional naughty word.
They write the episodes knowing what'll be bleeped. For me, that's part of the script. Taking it away isn't a big deal, but given the option, I'd choose the original broadcast audio every time.

^ I agree. I think it's funnier when the words are censored... You know that language doesn't belong on TV or in that environment so it makes it that much better. The Office does a great job of this.

A couple other people already touched on this, but to me, unbleeped swearing usually feels gratuitous. They wrote the swearing into the show knowing full well they'd have to bleep it for broadcast. I don't think Workaholics will be as bad as some other shows when unbleeped (e.g. South Park, Reno 911!), but I prefer to see the show as it originally aired.

Catching up on these. That pedophile episode was so wrong, but so damn funny.

My brother was at Don Cuco in Burbank today having lunch, and the guys were having lunch across from them. He told them he was a fan of the show and threw up the " Tight Butthole " gesture. He said they were all about it.

"Chindo" and "Why don't we use the other strap-on... you know, the one God gave me?"
