SNL 04/09/11 - H: Helen Mirren - MG: Foo Fighters
This one should be good. Helen Mirren should do well, and if we get any "who in the ---- are the Foo Fighters?" comments... oh, well, what can we really do?
I love the third one:

... and with the Foo Fighters:

Sorry, the NBC vids were screwing up again, so I had to use the hulu ones.

Re: SNL 04/09/11 - H: Helen Mirren - MG: Foo Fighters
I saw an interview last week with Mirren where she was asked if she would play the Queen in a royal wedding skit, and she shot it down pretty quickly. Something to the effect of having already played the part, and doesn't want to be constantly associated with it.
I would think that that type of skit would be a slam dunk right now.

I liked the Jackman sketch though the crowd did not get it.
The Roosevelts was the funniest sketch.
"Walk" the 2nd Foo Fighters song is the best song and performance on SNL this season.

2 new shows and then another 2 weeks of reruns which is the pattern now.

I say this in all seriousness, "Walk" needs to be the song for every soldier/individual who goes through any form of rehab.
It really is that powerful.

Damn, I didn't make it to the 2nd song but that was an amazing performance. I hope the recorded version of that is as powerful when the album drops on Tuesday.

They had the whole album up on their website to stream.
I haven't checked in a few days as I have already listened to it about 20 times through, but if you haven't checked it out, it really is tremendous and that's not just because I'm a fan.
