In this age of the mighty PVR, a lot of us have stopped watching ads on television. But maybe we wouldn't have stopped watching if ads were of higher quality. Or if quality ads weren't reserved for Super Bowl Sunday. Quality ads like the one below:

BTW, Pachelbel's Canon in D -- IMO one of the greatest pieces of music ever written.

Great as that commercial in the first post may be there is no way I am watching a four minute commercial. For shampoo. I don't care if Spielberg directed it. It just strikes me as pretentious.

That 4-minute commercial was a great short film with some product placement at the end. After watching that, resinrat's comment made me LOL.

Well put.

I agree with you and others that a 4-minute ad is obviously too long, but that's not the point. I don't care about the practicality or effectiveness of the ad, I just care if it makes an impact.
