Re: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains - 4/22/10
I wonder if Russell will consider flipping to join the "heroes" now that Parvati kept him in the dark. Would be a smart thing for the "heroes" as it would give them the numbers and also give them someone who would be a sure-loser at the final TC if they keep him around that long.

Apparently Russell has a horrible social game off the show as well. From TMZ...

This episode was friggin awesome. Hell, this season is friggin awesome so far. Any chance of Russell being gone next week? I bet he's gonna be pissed with Teeth not telling him she got the other HII.
It's so sad when Rupert was right and no believe him. I have to say, I can't stand Amanda anymore, except her boobs of course. What is with the dumb sad ass face talking with Teeth? It was like the final 2 meeting again back in fans vs favorites.

If Russell makes it to the final 2 and is up against, say, one of the heroes, I hope that this group, at least, can put pettiness aside and reward gameplay. As much as I hate him this season, he has played the game and played it well. I'd still give the edge to Parvati, though, since she not only made a great move at this last tribal council, but has really been on the block pretty much the whole way because she's a schemer, and not only survived but thrived, using the same tactics as she did last time (but this time with Russell). Not sure either of them makes it to the final three, but despite personalities I certainly wouldn't want to be up against either one of them.
And if it does come down to, say, Russell, Colby, and Rupert and Russell loses, I can't imagine the uproar here.

Looks like there's going to be another "final three" at the last tribal council this year. Unless they do a ten-person jury, which seems kind of unlikely.
Having the votes split across three finalists could present an interesting dynamic this year. Wonder what they'd do with a three-way tie?

Not gonna happen. As it stands right now, IF Russell makes it to then end, he won't get Courtney or Coach's vote and he's not going to get a single vote from the 5 heroes. Just like in Samoa, people got their feelings hurt and voted against him....its going to happen again. Watch and see.

Unless I missed something, I'm not sure how this was great gameplay on Parvati's part. She's now left with no immunity idols, a huge target on her back, and Russell doesn't trust her anymore. It seems she would have been better off giving just one to Jerri & risking Sandra, who doesn't have any loyalty to the remaining villians anyway. She could've saved face with Russell and used the 2nd idol later on when she herself was at risk.

Excellent point, NORML90210. All the bold, unenforcable instructions in the OP make these polls scream integrity. Cutting off the voting before the show means every vote is from people who haven't watched the show.

You know, because your love of Russell is as irrational as TwineTime's hatred, right?
As for the episode, and I have never made this statement before, but I thought Parvati looked entirely delicious last night. While Amanda is looking, facially at least, kind of like a boot the more weight she loses, Parvati must have been going on additional fat reserves in her head or teeth.

Well, of course. If I find a person on television entertaining and think they are good at a game, that must certainly extend to me accepting everything that person does in their personal life (past, present and future). That makes perfect logical sense, don't you think?

As for Fanboy, I think you're overestimating my hatred of Russell. I hate when the show shoves him down our throats. I hate when people think he's the best player of all time because he makes the kind of moves most people could make if they were trying to be memorable. I hate when he goes on about being the King (something Parvati's picked up which is also starting to grate.)
I think those are all valid gripes and not irrational in the least.
P.S. Yes, I know Parv is mostly joking around. Her personality just annoys me.

Not justifying Russell's actions in the "real world," but I can imagine it would be annoying as hell having drunk assholes giving you shit all the time. And not that it's necessarily any better, but at least he *just* shoved the victim to the ground, as opposed to punching her.
And I can't stand Russell in the game, FWIW.

I still can't figure out why the Heroes didn't realize Russell's story of how he survived the girl's alliance didn't hold water. Parvati quit the immunity challenge. Danielle said something like, "you have an idol" to Parvati. They should have realized Sandra was telling the truth and voted for Russell. Unless this is the editing.
