MONDAY, JANUARY 29

SUPERGIRL

"For Good" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

MORGAN EDGE THREATENS LENA - Someone tries to kill Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) and he barely survives. He accuses Lena (Katie McGrath) of being behind the attempt and vows to destroy her. When Lena fears her hatred for Morgan will take her to the Luthor dark side, Kara (Melissa Benoist) steps in to help her friend. Meanwhile, after Sam (Odette Annable) realizes she's losing time, she confides in Alex (Chyler Leigh) who decides to run some medical tests to see if she can find out what's going on with her new friend. Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode with story by Robert Rovner and teleplay by Cindy Lichtman & Alix Sternberg (#312). Original airdate 1/29/18.

It always seems totally unbelievable. At least when the characters that wear full masks there is some level of believing that people would never put two and two together. When we're supposed to buy that a pair of glasses does the trick, at least frame the story such that it's believable that the character does a good job at the rest of what it takes to keep their identity a secret. It was always ridiculous to believe that Cat didn't know Kara was Supergirl. They are almost there with Lena, but not quite as bad.

Was Adrian Pasdar supposed to be acting like he was drunk? He seemed like he was slurring his words in more than one scene. I figured maybe he was drunk, coming from the restaurant, but he seemed to be slurring his words in his encounter with Guardian.

Katie McGrath has quite the rack

at Alex's Grey's Anatomy shot when she mentioned her medical training.

I was wondering when the hell did she become a doctor as well as a DEO agent?

My point was that it was always ridiculous for them to pretend she didn't come to that conclusion long before they had that reveal on last episode that featured Cat.

They don't seem to hide Supergirl's identity from the other DEO workers, do they?. That doesn't seem wise. Was Mon-El flying in this episode? What exactly are his powers? Where was his wife?

Lena admits to Kara she tried to murder Morgan Edge and Kara does nothing.

Lena says she has to rely on her "Luthor smarts". Isn't she adopted?

It's pretty ridiculous that Lena wouldn't recognize Jimmy either after staring into his eyes and hearing his voice so close up. He should've put a visor on or something.

Same with Edge because didn't Jimmy dangle him over the side of a building not long before that? I was surprised Edge didn't say something like "Olsen, is that you?" while he was hanging there.

Chyler Leigh used to be on Grey's Anatomy and played a doctor. That show took place in Seattle. It was a wink wink thing. If you've never watched Grey's, you wouldn't have gotten it.

At least they didn't say that Alex had some friend or mentor in Seattle named "Meredith" that would have been too much.

That was also the most bizarre way to deal with a runaway car I've ever seen. Rather than crawling through the car to the trunk, why didn't he start side-swiping the parked cars to slow himself down? Yeah, he probably would've blowed up before he got out, but he didn't know there was a bomb in the car!

Also, why cut the brake lines if you're going to blow the car up?

I thought they disabled the steering wheel. He had no choice but to crawl out of the back.
