For 42 minutes, this evening's 24 was pretty ho-hum, even with the stupidity of Dana's subplot, but Renee officially gets the "TBIC" award for going off the deep end once again. Only Jack can just put a quick bandage for a knife wound in the abdomen and still be at almost peak killing efficiency.

Jack is Wolverine. He just prefers to kill you without his claws cos it forces him to think of new and totally awesome ways to kill people.

before the Renee stabfest, I was thinking...WTF am I watching, this isn't 24! I was bored out of my mind. And this is my favorite show! I almost wanted to turn off the TV. Show premiered in 2001. It's 2010. Never thought I would have that feeling about 24...haha
and then Renee goes OJ on everyone and then it was good. It went to commercial and then I said, "now that was 24"
and that damn Kevin Wade storyline keeps showing up earlier and earlier in the episodes. C'mon!
The writers are doing a really poor job of showcasing New York. Seriously, there needs to be a massive shootout at Times Square...at Midnight. Something

Some good news. 20th Century FOX just hired Billy Ray, who wrote and directed Breach to write 24: The Movie.
http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=13&cs=1
Twentieth Century Fox's film and TV studios are conspiring to finally bring hit television series "24" to the bigscreen.
The film side has hired scribe Billy Ray ("State of Play," "Flightplan") to pen the script for the feature version.
Ray's pitch, which takes Jack Bauer to Europe, was a hit with Fox execs and producers of the high-concept television series.
Ray also wrote and directed "Breach" and "Shattered Glass."
Script is said to have come through "24" star Kiefer Sutherland, who's also an exec producer on the series -- and is said to be eager to turn the long-running TV skein into a feature franchise.
Feature would be produced by the TV show's key exec producers, including Sutherland. Series was created by Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow, while exec producer Howard Gordon runs the show through his Real Time Prods. banner.
Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment, which produces the show along with 20th Century Fox TV, also would be involved.
Insiders cautioned that a "24" feature is still very much in the preliminary stages. There are a number of factors influencing how quickly it moves ahead, including the fate of the TV show.
Breach was awesome and it's about time they got some fresh blood to write something 24-related. Hopefully Ray's script will get greenlighted.

Isn't that old news? I seem to recall around the time of season 5 there being talk of a 24 movie taking place in Europe.

I think it needs to be said again about Renee... THAT BITCH IS CRAZY! It's moments like that to keep me watching this show.

Loved the last 20 minutes.
Renee losing it and stabbing Vlad to a pulp was nuts. You Go Girl!!
Renee stabbing Jack and only leaving a "flesh wound" was great. I guess Jack's internal organs are impenetrable.
Jack's knife throw to the throat was badass classic 24.
The 1st 40+ minutes.... President Elvis needs to go. His storyline is dragging down each episode. I guess Jason Schwartzman is still banging those Russian whores.
I actually found the Dana Walsh/Jenny/Kevin subplot kind of entertaining this episode. However, it's so hard to believe that CTU: NY with all it's cameras, technology and firewalls would not detect Dana hacking into the NYPD evidence camera feed. Also, Dana constantly wandering off to that secluded room wouldn't set off any red flags? Isn't there any cameras there? Even if Dana were able to work around the firewalls or whatever, I think it should raise a red flag to Chloe, Arlo or someone else in IT. Hell, remember last season Janice Gold at the FBI easily detected Chloe hacking into their system when Jack and Tony were trying to escape.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode much more than last week even though the 1st 40+ minutes were Meh.
Even though some of you thought the Renee/Jack moment where she said "I don't have anyone" and "You have me" thing was cheesy, I actually liked that scene. Annie Wersching to me pulled off that scene and made me feel compassionate for the shit Renee had to go through the last few hours. I mean her friend and mentor Larry is dead, she doesn't have a job and she's probably alienated herself from most of her friends and former colleagues. And I already knew even from last season that Jack and Renee have a very strong connection. Kudos to Annie

good second half episode, renee rocked with that stabbing !
Pressie Hassan storyline is boring me
Actually liked the Dana walsh stuff this ep. Surely Chloe or the other suspicious Techie is gonna find out what dana has been accessing
love the fact that one group of bad ass russians gets wiped out and another badder group takes over

This season is terrible.
The whole scene in the evidence room was just comical. It was like a SNL spoof of 24. Sure, lets waste time in here and throw things everywhere like a cat just ransacked the place to show the cops we were here.
The water pistol gag? Gimme a break.
And how convenient, there is a undeground tunnel leading directly to Vlad's hideout.
Fuck this show.

I actually found myself rooting for the redneck ex-boyfriend last night more-so than for Harry Bauer and the Redhead of Fire.

This show is a shadow of its former self. I am completely disappointed with this season as a whole. Unless something major happens, all the current writers should be fired.

I am also willing to give the New York aspect a pass, simply because they did not film on location for most of this season.

Outstanding sequences with Rene going berzerk on Vlad, then on Jack, followed by Jack ungutting himself and killing the baddie with a sweet classic 24 kill.
Annie Wershing is so good, I really dig Rene as a nut right now. I'm getting a bit sick of the Dana bs, but at least this week was better than the last few weeks.
And for the prez, well him going total parnoid is jut going overboard, what next? He arrests his daughter for sticking up to the boyfriend?

I love how the redneck boyfriend managed to find the one guy even dumber than him to partner with.

IMO, it's definitely not as good as season 7 through 7 episodes. But, it's still better than season 6.
