I forgot where I read it and this is definitely a paraphrase but his response was he was undecided right now, but as long as the fans want him back, he will more than likely be back.

Wow, that axe shot to the guts for the kill was awesome, pure badass and I didn't expect that to happen!
Seeing Tooms again was very nice, I was a major fan of his performances in the X-Files
New season is good so far, I'll reserve judgement on Cole/Freddy after a few episodes, but for now it looks good: He has conflict with the stubborn head of CTU who won't listen to Jack, that's a good start. He kinda questioned him after Jack was about to blackmail him about the info he held out on, another good sign.
I'm not sure what the deal is with blondie, if her name change is going to be a tool used by the baddies to make her a mole or it it's unrelated, but I'm not crazy about the idea. I mean, CTU would have done background checks right? LAME!
Chloe is the very worst thing about 24. Her annoying bitchy character was funny in season 3 when she started iirc, then kinda grew on you during 4 and peaked during season 5 around the possible love storyline with Edgar. Since then, she has been the same annoying bitch with major people issues. Yeah we know that she's good at her job, but hell, they've killed off so many good characters, it's time for the bitch to get a bullet in the head and move on to something new. If not, it's the same old repeated stuff. Being a total bitch with coworkers, insinuating that they're dumb and slow, complaining about every little thing her superior asks for because she's too busy, etc. It's beyond tiring.

I was glad Chloe called Jack out though. She has always been there for him no matter what the stakes, and the first time she asks for help he says forget it. I understand he was trying to get out, but still. And to the user who said he didn't like Chloe, start from Season One and watch everything...you'll change your opinion on Chloe.

Well, color me dissappointed. Those two hours were kind of lame. Granted they needed to setup the whole season, but it really fell flat for me:
- Hastings is another in a long line of CTU morons, and I give him until mid-season
- Chloe has been completely dumbed down...a slap in the face to the fans
- If Freddie Prinze was any stiffer he would be a block of wood
- I did like how Jack was brought back in and not that lame, "Dad please don't leave again" cliche we have seen way too many times
- Didn't we all see who was trying to kill Hassan from the first few seconds of the episode?
- Katie Shackoff's character sub-plot is going to be lame, cougar lame
- Also enjoyed the end of episode two...that was really slick who the main bad guy was revealed
The action was good, everything else kind of sucked. But 24 usually has about 4 episodes a season that kind of suck, so if it gets out of the way early, I am all for it.

I get what they're going for with the Hastings character. He got the job at CTU because he said he could do things cheaply and quickly. And now it looks as though this is the first real incident he's had to deal with, and it's not going to go by the book. And so he does what all middle management types do, he pushes back on everyone else. I'm okay with his character.
I mean, hell... all it took was Jack even mentioning that he would expose Hastings' pencil pushing ways and Jack got a free pass to set up a little mini-CTU within the real CTU. Erin Driscoll would have locked Jack in a cell anyway.

Was it just me, or are there other BSG fans that kept looking for big ol' should tatts on Katie?
Good start to the season... and I have to say that FPjr is doing a pretty good job.

What I don't get is if they make Chloe to be some dumbass idiot who can't learn new software and protocols, why don't they just fire her?
And the same as previously mentioned, she can't run a search but can hack her way into the system?

Not a good start to the season. It was pretty boring.
The exact same plot devices as always.
Katee Sackhoff's character is already terrible.
The new CTU looks incredibly stupid.
Only good thing was the axe kill.

Yeah this soap opera with guns is treading on familiar ground here in a new city -- I'm getting a Chase's baby/Erin Driscoll's daughter/Michelle's brother type subplot vibe already with the Dana Walsh character -- but that still was an entertaining 2 hours.
Chloe simply rocked last nite! Her last remark to the new CTU head about efficiency -- ZING!!

Who cast Indian Jason Schwartzman as the President Hassan's advisor? It's hard to take him seriously when he looks so goofy.

I loved it all but my favorite part had to be when Jack's granddaughter requested better cartoons
and Jack immediately put on Fox News.
