The Real World: Washington D.C. 23rd Season

Is anyone watching? I didn't even know it was on until a couple days ago.

Yeah, I have....been waiting for a DC one for a long time.

I felt bad for the virgin getting cock-blocked by those annoying chicks.

A couple of those chicks are very pretty. Although that one being an Obamaton and all rah rah about gov't (and her reaction to the other girl picking the Reagan) was beyond annoying.

At some point they switched from 7 to 8 roommates and evened it up.

Re: The Real World: Washington D.C. 23rd Season

I remember back in the day when there was a clause in the cast members' contracts stating that they couldn't date each other until 6 months after the show ended. I think that ended somewhere around the Hawaii season, and ever since it seems like the first thing they do when they enter the house is look for a mate.

I wish to god they would all just start hooking up at the beginning instead of playing it cautious. That way it's a little more explosive when they start hating each other later in the season.

I suppose it's set in Adams Morgan or Georgetown? Too bad it couldn't be one of the good parts of DC.

I've been watching since season 1 and I don't remember that! I remember it being a big deal that cast members member's couldn't get into relationships with the crew.

Hmmm, I guess that would explain the whole, "Hello, would you like to get into the hot tub and make out?", thing that's been going on for awhile. Still, I seem to remember the actual turning point being Las Vegas.

Does anyone think this is the worst decorated house ever? I do.

...but I also believe that I'm finally too old for The Real World. I'll be 40 next year so I guess it's about time.

I'm pretty much at the same point, although I've gone in cycles to avoid overkill...watch 2 or 3 RWs in a row and take 1 or 2 off. After San Diego (which I watched), skipped Philly, watched Austin, skipped Key West, watched Denver and Sydney, skipped Hollywood and Brooklyn, watched Cancun and DC.

I probably would have taken a break or given up after Cancun if it weren't for this one being local to me.

The only reason Hawaii stuck out to me was because Colin and Amaya started dating almost right away, and the entire season consisted of her whining about what Colin's done to her now. But yes, Las Vegas was a brothel!

Which is smack in the middle of things... Doesn't look like we'll have to wait long for the hook ups. Not at all disappointed that the best looking guy is "bi", but Andrew is beyond ridiculous. Did he ever stop to consider that he's still a virgin because he's a loser? If you're not getting laid, you need to modify some of your behavior to be more likable and not an annoying nudge.

He seems to be trying the asshole route for getting girls. That can be pretty effective, but you have to have something else going for you - such as looks.

Re: The Real World: Washington D.C. 23rd Season

I think Las Vegas was the last edition of TRW that was entertaining for its sheer trashiness (trachelleness).

I know I'm pretty much far removed from its demographics these days as well, having grown up watching the show from its 3rd or 4th season, but now, all the drama just seems so much more immature and even the hotness (or lack of) level hasn't been doing it for me these past handful of seasons.

Did that Andrew guy actually admit to the cameras or anyone he was a virgin? It wouldn't surprise me if he was and even the girls in the house didn't believe him when he denied it. It's gotta suck knowing you're the nerdy, annoying, virgin guy in the house.

I am not watching this season, having it in DC is a bad idea, don't care to watch these people and how they think Obama is god.

Gotta love the Internet. Even before the show starts filming we already know the address where it is taking place. Any attention whore could easily show up there and cause havoc!

+1

While I hear DC is beautiful in the spring, I have no desire to see the RW set up camp there. Go back to Vegas please.

Re: The Real World: Washington D.C. 23rd Season

What's wrong with DC?

This is the first season i've watched since San Fran, and i'm only watching due to the local factor. I almost want to stop now since the gay club and it's aftermath disgusted me, hope they don't do that again.
