TNT Renews Dark Blue for 2nd season

Great news for the few of you who were paying attention to this over the summer with me. Hopefully the 2nd season will work out the kinks that plagued season 1.

The future just got brighter for TNT's cop series "Dark Blue."

A source close to the show tells Zap2it "Dark Blue" will get a second season of 10 episodes.

"Dark Blue" stars Dylan McDermott as Carter Shaw, head of an undercover LAPD team.

As is usually the case in the wake of hits like "The Shield," Shaw's unconventional tactics blur the line between crimefighter and criminal

I'm surprised it took this long. The show's ratings were on par with Leverage, so unless it cost much more than Leverage to make, this seemed like a no-brainer. Good news, though.

I agree they really took their merry old time renewing this considering Leverage, The Closer and Hawthorne all got renewed months ago. I'm glad it's coming back. It was a very slickly produced cop show even though there were some problems with it.

TNT's now got 3 solid Cop shows (this, Southland and The Closer)

Interesting that they renewed this and canceled Raising the Bar.
I like them both.

Some interesting news regarding the 2nd season.

Tricia Helfer recently announced on her official web site that she's joining the cast of Dark Blue.

And she will be a series regular according to another article I read.
