Smallville -- "Pandora" -- 11/20/09

THE EPIC SCENE

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Lois is kidnapped by Tess and forced to reveal what she learned during the weeks of her disappearance. She witnessed a future with Metropolis controlled by Zod and Clark left without his powers because of the red sun. With this information, Clark makes a big decision about Zod.

Really looking forward to this episode.

Rock! I cannot wait for this episode. I will be upset if somehow Lois forgets everything she remembers here; but somehow I have a feeling it will end up being the case.

That trailer for Absolute Justice rocked. So many things to look forward too. Just sucks having to wait over 2 months.

One thing I wonder about, the character of Lana is now would be poison to any of them there, so I do wonder why she would not have come back in that future and stop or at least try to stop them, it does not really make any sense for her of not to have tired, so it is just odd to completely forget about such things, nothing new for shows to forget about such things.

That was pretty good. I still wonder why Zod and his people don't have superpowers under the yellow sun.

OK. Although I always thought blue only effected Bizarro.

Re: Smallville -- "Pandora" -- 11/20/09

I think the trailer said they would be back on January 22 and not February 5. Two weeks sooner is good with me. Another good episode but it made me wonder about the whole yellow-sun thing. How was Kara able to fly off headed for home and still have the power to get there? Once she gets away from earth's yellow sun, shouldn't she lose her ability to fly or the ability to breathe in outer space? Does she have to plot a course to pass by other yellow suns in order to make it all the way back to Krypton/Kandor?

they changed that in Smallville

and I always thought kryponite go made by the explosion of krypton, in which case there wouldn't be any kryponite on krypton at the time Jor-El made the orb

Re: Smallville -- "Pandora" -- 11/20/09

I was just reading up on some stuff on wiki and found this in the article about Kara Zor-El
from the smallvill section on Kara:
(spoilers for previous seasons and earlier this season)
Spoiler:

The episode in which she stars shows her release from Phantom Zone and her departure from Smallville and her cousin's company, to search for Kandor, her birthplace, that is rumoured to have survived during Krypton's explosion.
I don't remember where that rumor came from in the show but I guess it was totally wrong since Kandor got nuked years before Krypton was destroyed

Wow, that was a really good episode. The show has gone from a show I was watching out of obligation to one that I look forward to watching. They have done a good job this season. Let's hope the winter break doesn't kill it like it did last season.

Great fricking episode.

The future scenes were awesome. Zod was great and loved the hot sex scene with Lois and Clark, even though it was in the future.

I'm so glad the writers gave Clark some balls this season and he is actually moving forward with his relationship with Lois and not being the repressed Pussy that he was with Lana.

I really enjoyable episode. Nice and Dark. Liked how they linked Lois' daydream from a few episodes ago to the actual memory.

Re: Smallville -- "Pandora" -- 11/20/09

Awesome! Although why didn't Clark just tell Lois? They could have done that since the writers knew the outcome and that Hamilton would wipe her memory.

I just don't get Tess. It's amazing how much I feel for her when she's dying in Oliver's hands despite everything she's done. Then to top it off she tries to take down her hacker guy that actually stood up to her. Bitch.

I'm really enjoying Clark being happy. I'm not sure we've ever actually seen him genuinely this happy. Can't wait to see where these two are headed in the back half of the season.

"Kneel before Kal-el!" The hell?! Talk about out of left field!

Clark is going to need to step up his A game and play to his intelligence, because Zod is the master manipulator and not just strength in power. I just know Zod's up to something. Probably trying to buy time to still get his tower built. I'm sure this plan will go south only to force Clark take plan B at some point.

Another great episode. Clark and Zod becoming pals was a nice surprise.

Oh no! You had me look at those screen caps and now I watched the trailer. Is that painting I saw by Alex Ross?! It certainly looked like his work!

Re: Smallville -- "Pandora" -- 11/20/09

Another casting spoiler for Absolute Justice:

Spoiler:

What’s more, I hear the movie — which marks the debut of Michael Shanks as Hawkman (pictured) — will air as a seamless two-hour event with only one set of credits.

I love the actor in that spoiler, but his casting on this show has me scratching my head. Then again it could just be the photo, because quite frankly he looks "season 1 corny" compared to what they've been doing.
