So, is this going against Ellen's American Idol? I assume AI will be 2 hours for a few weeks.

I wish this was AI last season. It is about time for that show to come to an end.

Re: ABC books 'Lost' final season premiere date

Right now it's going against NCIS: LA on CBS, Idol/Past Life on FOX and I think Biggest Loser on NBC.

It's not going to do well in the ratings. Last season floated between 7-8M a week. But, it doesn't matter since it's 18 more episodes and it's done.

I have to say, I'm loving Tuesday! I'm just glad they didn't go with Thursday. That night is overstuffed.

I'm guessing this is there way of pimping V by putting it on the timeslot before LOST?

I don't think ratings have been an issue since the end of Season 3 when the enddate was announced.

EDIT: for what it's worth, wikipedia thinks it averaged a little over 11 million for the season, starting at over 13m for the premiere and ending up at just under 10m for the finale.

Re: ABC books 'Lost' final season premiere date

So this is probably what the Tuesday schedule will look like:

8pm Scrubs/Better Off Ted or Dancing with the Stars
9pm Lost
10pm V (most likely)

Also of note is that Henry Ian Cusick is not a series regular anymore. To me, this all but confirms the settlement ABC reached with that woman has impacted his role on the show. I'm still hoping for guest appearances though... his storyline needs to be resolved.

what's that all about? spoiler your answer if you need to, I hadn't heard anything about Cusick not returning as a regular any longer.

Re: ABC books 'Lost' final season premiere date

He allegedly sexually harrassed some woman who was a member of the Lost production staff.

In season 5, we hardly even saw Desmond, so I don't think it even matters if he's a series regular or not.

I think his storyline could be considered done, but Eloise told him last time we saw him that the island wasn't done with him yet. It seems to hint that there is more to his story.

Of course if that is the only loose end left at the end of this show, I'll be pretty happy.

Speaking of the last season of Lost, I just re-watched the last three episodes.

Who are Jacob and the other beach guy supposed to be?

That is a question that has yet to be answered. It will be answered during the sixth season.

Only theories at this point, but could be:

- Jacob and Esau
- Good and Evil
- g-d and the devil

and so on.
