Supernatural -- "The Real Ghostbusters" -- 11/12/09

Supernatural

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Sam and Dean are tricked into attending a "Supernatural" convention where fans dress up as the brothers. But the entertaining event is soon disrupted by a ghost.

This episode sounds like it will have some solid comedy. Absolutely loved last week's episode on the TV spoofs.

I thought this was a fairly good standalone "comedy" episode. I liked all the in-jokes with the cosplaying Supernatural fans.

Also funny is that they find out what happened to The Colt because it was in one of the novels

Another great episode like last week! I really hope it doesn't come to an end this season.

I absolutely love the show, but I hope this is the last season. I'd much rather have it go out with a bang rather than outstay its welcome like X-Files.

yeah, I tend to agree... I mean, anything beyond this season would be rather anticlimactic, no? I mean, there is no bigger bad guy to go up against than the devil.

Seems to me that with the devil getting killed or perhaps wounded, there would be a full on revolt of lesser demons and the like.

My thoughts exactly.

I'm sure they could figure something out for another season. Maybe the Devil stuff is a three season arc? It doesn't feel like they're going that way, but you never know.

Maybe they do away with the Devil this year, and the next is the fight over the anti-christ.

To that end, they missed a few opportunities to have some other cosplay characters. But then I think it would have been a buzz-kill for Sam to see some not-so-thin woman dressed like his GF with a fake gut cut.

Interesting how the fake Dean and Sam ended up together at the end. Kinda like all the slash that is written.

Did they end up together at the end? I thought they were together before they got there. I didn't think they met at the convention, but met online, and went to the convention as a couple. They just weren't showing any affection there because they were in character.

They were together already. True.
