The CSI Trilogy (Miami, NY, Las Vegas) --3-part episode -- 11/9, 11/11, 11/12/09

CSI Crossover

Part 1 is Monday Night on CSI: Miami

Synopsis for "Bone Voyage":

Spoiler:

Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) of the Las Vegas crime lab arrives in Miami to investigate after a severed leg found in the Everglades is discovered to belong to a girl who disappeared in Las Vegas a week earlier.

Really looking forward to these 3 episodes. Yes, it's November sweeps. That's why they are doing this.

If your only a fan of CSI, your going to have to suck it up and watch all 3 for the story arc to make any sense.

Trailer for the CSI Trilogy

I have to admit, it looks pretty badass seeing Ray carrying a shotgun.

In actuality, I don't think the Vegas crime lab would send a relatively inexperienced CSI like Ray to assist in this investigation since he's only a CSI 2. I know they are only doing this because Fishburne is the biggest name on the show.

Dammit!

I abandoned Miami after that Anti-Gamer episode. And was disappointed when Vanessa Ferlito left CSI: New York...to the point where I didn't want to watch it anymore. Even if I love Gary Sinise has a actor!

Or just skip NY and connect the dots. Or assume that whatever happens is wrapped up in the crossover because the writers aren't that stupid to alienate viewers who don't dedicate three nights a week to CSI. Or not watch. Or watch the 2 minute recap preview before the Thursday CSI episode

I typically don't watch MI and NY...but will probably tune in this week to check out the hype.

The last time I watched Miami was when they did the crossover with NY. I've set the DVR for all three.

Too bad Langston can't pay Horatio back for "killing" him 19 years ago, but they both got what was coming to them in that one.

Well I normally don't watch Miami - but I don't watch anything else on Monday either, so I guess I can catch this tonight instead of reading.

Re: The CSI Trilogy (Miami, NY, Las Vegas) --3-part episode -- 11/9, 11/11, 11/12/09

Miami isn't as horrible as alot of people make it out to be. But, it's definitely the inferior spinoff, even though it was the 2nd one created. I would say New York is probably the 2nd best CSI mainly because of Gary Sinise and Melina Kanakaredes, who are both really solid actors.

I really enjoy crossover episodes. It's nice for a procedural show like the CSI's to once in a while add a serialized element.

This crossover should give a little ratings bump to Miami and NY, who have been hovering around 12M viewers this season.

It certainly produces a lot of unintentional humor, however.

Viewers of Miami know that everything that made the show over-the-top with regard to Horatio has been completely toned down over the last two seasons, something people who avoid it have no idea of.

Those catchphrase / glasses / exit stage left / cue opening credit days have been over since the end of season 6. All you see now is what was shown at the end of last week's episode where the show ended on him but even that is rare nowadays.

I remember William Peterson always refused to do crossovers. I guess this is why they are doing it now.
I don't watch the other two shows and the network trying to get me too is cheap.

Exactly. He hated the idea of CSI being a franchise and wanted nothing to do with Miami or NY. Crossing over to another show was never a problem though, since it was partly his idea to do the "Without A Trace" crossover.

Exactly and that made me respect Peterson even more.

So it only took six years to figure out how retarded those 'quirks' were. My congrats to the writing staff.

I don't see what the big deal is about watching 2 extra hours of CSI this week with a connected storyline. I think it's kinda cool they are doing this. Some of you are making it sound like it's going to be a major chore/inconvenience.

Just watch the extra hours and after this week you can forget that Horatio Caine and Mac Taylor ever existed.

Where do you live? CSI: Miami is always on at 10pm West and East Coast.

It should be posted on CBS.com tomorrow.

Also, Part 2 is on Wednesday on CSI: NY

some shows, yes. None of the CSIs are streamed on it though.

I don't have a DVR so in its place I signed up for the timeshifting option -I watch the show from the west coast at 1 am EST so I can watch Castle at 10 instead.

Of course if I miss something both times I go um. "elsewhere" to see them.

What was with them using the intro music to "The Dark Knight?"

I heard it in the background and didn't realize it was CSI.
