The show is on CBS. Some people will watch. We'll show a bunch of commercials.
They're really giving everything away in the spoilers these days

Good one.

Always love it when somebody thinks they are way smarter than they are...and BAM! Away they go.

And once again Shambo isn't let in on what is going on and she's the only person not to have a clue.

Glad we get at least one more week out of Russell.

Great Tribal Council! And I can't blame Russell for playing the idol, due to all of the scrambling leading up to the vote.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 11/05/09

This type of episode justifies all the boring episodes. Scrambling, idols in play, uncertainty on who is getting booted out .. this is what Survivor is all about.

Russell actually may be better off now without the idol.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 11/05/09

The editing of all the scrambling was really solid. But I was getting so tired of all the air time Russell was getting during his own HII tour through Galu.

Erik didn't even pack his bags to tribal council. True blindside.

Very exciting. I can't remember that much scrambling in a very long time. I agree, that is what this game is about. That and Monica.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 11/05/09

Even after tonight I'm still pretty close to giving up on this season. I just don't really seem to care about any of these people.

One question that I do have about tonight. How in the world could Erik go this long in the game w/o getting even one person truly aligned with him (Shambo doesn't count)? His entire former tribe knew he was getting voted out, and no one told him (which is all it would have taken given his HII). Wow!

Has Russell lost a tooth this season? We noticed a missing tooth tonight during several of his camera confessionals. Never noticed it before.

Russell always had that missing tooth from the first episode.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 11/05/09

Wow--don't even know where to start. So much scrambling and so many changes. So glad Erik got voted out. It's the cardinal rule with Survivor: Get cocky and you go.

I only wish Russell hadn't played his idol. I'm sure if I were on the team with low numbers, I knew my name was being tossed around, I didn't really know what was going on...I'd probably have played it, too. But still...that could hurt him not having it.

Laura's really ruling the girls. Knock her out and they'd all be scrambling. Knock Russell out and his whole tribe'd be lost....and the game would be much less interesting. :P

Been very enjoyable this season!

I dunno. They probably wouldn't tried to flush his idol out soon enough. Plus he promised to give it to several people. And by using it when no votes were cast against him, it makes Russell look like he's totally out of the loop, less of a threat.

Russell told everyone he had the idol, so I'm glad it's gone, he's lost some power now at this point.

the Galu folks need to get back on the taking off foa foa next week.

Russel definitely shouldn't have played that idol though.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 11/05/09

This episode would have been a lot more enjoyable if we actually knew anyone on FoaFoa besides Shambo coming into it. The 2nd half of this episode was still good .Way too much needless Russell naration going on in the 1st half.

Re: Survivor: Samoa - 11/05/09

I couldn't believe Russell stood up to play the idol. I was shocked that he replied to Erik that he'd talk to everyone individually to keep his strategy going. Once you let that slip, where's the strategy?? That was a stupid move.

They're lingering on Monica in damn near every shot.

Yea, Russel was not smart at all this episode. He's played the game great up until tonight.

Russell wasted the idol, but Erik is probably wishing he'd "wasted" his as well

I'm surprised Russell didn't think of a contingency plan in case Laura won immunity.
