Not sure why I put a poll on this the first two weeks... we have no say, and they're gone before the ep is over.
Next week, I'll put the couples in the poll since we get a voice... and there's a day in between to vote. ![]()

Gotta say that Legacy and Katherine are the couple that surprised me the most. Love them as a couple, and loved that number. Also loved the tango~

Re: SYTYCD (Season 6) "The TOP 18 Perform / Judges Send 2 Dancers Home" (11/3/09)
Was Jakob the one who tried out last season but was only 17, and they gave whoever it was a ticket to Vegas for this season?
And I was much happier this week - better dances than last week, and two of the tap dancers are gone. Legacy really suprised me, and the judges were right about Karen, she has the "it" factor - she has a future in entertainment. |

Re: SYTYCD (Season 6) "The TOP 18 Perform / Judges Send 2 Dancers Home" (11/3/09)
Nathan was the 17 year old from season 5, so they gave him a ticket to season 6.
I really didn't think Bianca was going to be sent home, but Noelle did up her game on her solo. Philip was just too weak of a male partner (at least for the more muscular girls like Channing). Legacy and Kathryn were very good. Ellenore and Ryan were solid, even with the dress/heel snafu. Karen is still eclipsing Kevin on sheer star power. Mollee and Nathan did well with Bollywood. Jakob and Ashleigh were let down by decisions in choreography, but still a fine number. Pauline and Peter lacked a bit of chemistry for me. Channing and Philip were dancing scared. Bianca and Victor couldn't salvage their number, then again, I think Victor isn't going anywhere far, just too douchey for me.

Re: SYTYCD (Season 6) "The TOP 18 Perform / Judges Send 2 Dancers Home" (11/3/09)
Bianca's solo may be the worst solo I've ever seen on the show. Admittedly tap isn't my favorite style, but that just looked like random tapping... it seemed to be completely divorced from the song. I didn't see any attempt at choreography or a routine; it just seemed like she went out there and started furiously tapping away. And about that song.... Tootsie Roll? Really?
Loved Kathryn and Legacy. I think they've done a much better job this season of getting us to know the dancers early on. Last season had come clear standouts, but there were about 6-8 dancers that never made any sort of impression on me. Even some a few of the better ones got blurred together in my head until about the 4th week in. This season, even if I don't necessarily *like* every dancer, I at least remember them all. |

I'm kind of glad they eliminated 2 tappers because I found it really annoying in the beginning when they introduced the dancers and all you could hear was that loud tapping, not even in time with the music. Annoying. It sounded like they had mics in their shoes or something.

I thought Bianca was able to let loose with some bile after they cut her. They should have brought in Mia Michaels just to cut people from the show. She's a cutter, you know...

I don't like the new stage/studio setup. The old set seemed more intimate, with the crowd on three sides. I also don't care for the enhanced backdrops, etc. They are distracting. The old set was just the dancers. Less is more.

The new stage has to go. It's a distraction to watch the dancers with that screen background.
I am losing interest in this season. Not a fan of anyone.

As long as Karen (that girl oozes sexuality) and Legacy remain, and Ryan performs as brilliantly as he did last night, I'll watch.
What was up with Robson's choreography? That and the tennis routine were by far the worst of the night (although I also cringed when Channing's head bounced off the floor at the end of her dance). |
