Castle -- "Famous Last Words" -- 11/02/09

Nathan Fillion

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The dead body of a rock star on the rise is discovered staged in a scene from her popular music video. Beckett and Castle's subsequent murder probe involves obsessed fans and envious bandmates, but it's the lyrics from a song that break open the case.

Castle has been doing great the last few weeks. I think last week it was over 11M viewers. Bravo!!

Probably all the Firefly fans tuning in last week that don't normally watch.

Dead thread. Thought the episode was a little hackneyed, but I enjoy the characters.

If Firefly had 11 million viewers, it would still be on TV.

Just saw my DVR. Okay ep, but nothing outstanding. This show is clearly carried more by the antics of Fillion and his chemistry with Katic than the weekly mystery.

It didn't have them until now. Hell, I never even watched the show until I blind-bought it on DVD (which I later upgraded to BD).

There's way too much back and forth and too many dead ends involving suspects on this show. I can work with maybe three supsects, but this show goes through 5 or 6 in every episode. It's a bit too scrambled for me, and I agree that the chemistry between the characters (including Ryan and Esposito) is what makes this show work. I love how level-headed and mature Alexis is. She reminds me of Julie from Desperate Housewives in the first several seasons.

I just remembered that I went to sleep on the show and I still haven't found out who murdered the girl :-)

See that is FINE with me. I went back and re-watched last week's all the way through again. If you are confused, either watch again like me or ditch it for some CBS pap like CSI.

I think it's a waste of time to watch them closing in on 'obvious' suspects who they swear committed the crime 7 or 8 minutes into the show. They aren't going to find the culprit that early on (especially considering they don't bring the trial into it at all). I'd rather they interview several people and build up to finding one or two plausible suspects like they do in L&O.

My DVR is full right now so the last thing on my mind is watching an episode of anything twice.

Yea this episode sucked and the songs/singers blew. It was annoying.

If it wasnt for the great cast and chemsitry Id rethink the show cause the last few, sans 31st, were too erratic for their own good.
