Re: Survivor: Samoa - 10/29/09

Liz deserved to stay much more than Jaison. He has completely given up both physically and mentally. Though Russell is right in looking ahead to the merge and keeping jaison. Liz is far smarter and stronger and could very well build a coalition that would threaten Russell. What I find strange is that the women completely agree that they should go first and are weaker than the men. Strange outlook. Russell seems to be the only one that is actually thinking. The merge should be interesting.
I think the guys are a little too over confident in their ability to manipulate Shambo and Russell has total control over his idiots. I look forward to the reunion when they see how he was using them throughout.

Right, look at who won Survivor: Gabon. The final three in that season were the least likely to make it based on initial impressions. Russell has made some nice moves, but he can't keep doing this and get the votes from the jury to win.. unless they respect his strategy.

When this season started I hated Russell, he seemed like hes just not a good person, but after watching him, hes really smart at playing this game and I like him now Hes interesting to watch, he knows this is a game and everything he does hes doing it for a reason.

Agreed. I've been converted by Russell as well. But I also think he's changed his game play a little too. In the first episode he seemed to have no problems screwing over his own tribe and in fact seemed to enjoy making life miserable for them. It seems he very quickly learned the value of a strong tribe. After that first episode, he's really toned it down on screwing his tribe and is more concerned with putting himself in a good position.

He may be a dick, but it's fun to watch someone play smart.

I agree with everything here. I'm looking forward to the merge because I think the old Russell will come out now that team strength means nothing.
