Ugly Betty -- 2-hour Season 4 Premiere -- "The Butterfly Effect" -- 10/16/09

Ugly Betty

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

In the fourth-season premiere, Betty settles into her new job as an associate editor at Mode but clashes with her ex-boyfriend Matt, who's now her boss, and tries to stay a step ahead of Marc, who feels slighted by her promotion. Meanwhile, Daniel struggles to cope with Molly's death and the loss of Betty as his assistant, and Justin has trouble fitting in at high school. Lynn Redgrave and Kristen Johnston guest star.

I know this show isn't that popular here, but I figured that some of you still care about it.

I missed probably 95% of season 3 (only saw maybe 3-4 episodes) and I don't know how season 3 ended, but would I be totally lost coming back into this now? I wanted to continue w/ the show, but got so backed up last season that I sacrificed this. I'm interested in coming back mainly for my love for Vanessa Williams and her character.

Yeah seriously, I thought that it was the SERIES finale when this last aired? From the preview it looks like it is starting all over again.

I am looking forward to the show and the new look for Betty.

I care very much, and I'm glad for it to finally be back.

Your spoiler pretty much sums up everything you missed in the last few episodes of season 3, so based on that information, you might not have a problem following what happens next tonight.

I didn't even remember how last season ended until I read the spoiler.

Nice to see Zoe from Knight Rider landing a new gig. Still waiting for Sarah to resurface.

And is it just me, or are they just getting WAY to carried away with the CGI blurring of people's faces on this show. It used to be just Vanessa Williams, but now Betty's sister, Amanda and others have it and its just SO distracting. Willamina almost looked full CGI.

Hilda and Amanda are too young to be subjected to that blurring effect, and when I watched I thought for a while that the whole episode was just softer!

I don't know, but its getting to be too much.

Still not as bad as how much it was done to Scarlett Johansson in The Island.

Re: Ugly Betty -- 2-hour Season 4 Premiere -- "The Butterfly Effect" -- 10/16/09

I honestly thought this season premiere could have been a series finale. Without spoiling it, it showed character growth or at least the determination to grow and move forward in most plotlines. I loved this show and have stuck with it but the mysteries/conflicts laid out in the premiere don't intrigue me and if I forgot to set the season pass, I don't think I'd cry.
