Re: House -- "Epic Fail" -- 9/28/09

Man, this ep was pretty boring when House wasn't on screen. It's a testament that Laurie can carry 2 hours in a psych hospital all by himself (with new characters), but the established characters of the hospital are yawn-inducing with House there to add the spice. It was still a good episode, but that was mainly due to House and Wilson, not the case.
Yes. I was bored stiff with the Foreman/Thirteen stuff at the hospital. The House/Nolan and House/Wilson stuff was great though. Bonus point for letting Lisa Edelstein change her hairstlye from last year's bangs look. No one else had an issue with the last scene, where Foreman cans 13 on no good cause? In real life, he'd probably get sued for that. I think Foreman pretty much my least liked cast member at this point. He's an ass and boring on screen and an incompetent doctor. Thirteen is just boring and incompetent.

I liked it better than the premiere.

I didn't find the scenes with Foreman and 13 boring at all. I actually thought the case was pretty interesting and the video game graphics were pretty cool too...thought it added to the episode.

Re: House -- "Epic Fail" -- 9/28/09

And what exactly was that food that House gave Thirteen? Was it ragu sauce injected into a partially cooked egg yolk?

I have a bet riding on this. I know the episode will be online a week from now, but I deleted the episode on both DVRs last night after we watched. I really don't want to clean kitty litter boxes every 3 days for the next 2 weeks. Does someone have the episode still recorded who could look at the scene where 13 is in House's kitchen, he extracts the egg yolk and injects something into the eggs. I remember it being red sauce. Can someone confirm it was red sauce and not a white sauce?

yeah, I remember the yellow yolk being extracted and then a red sauce being injected in......I don't have it handy, though.

My guess on the special dish House prepared:
I think he first removed the egg yoke whole from a raw egg. He then poached the yoke a bit to cook the outer part but leave the center of the yoke raw. He next removed the raw center using a syringe and then replaced it by injecting his homemade ragu meat-based tomato sauce. He finally put it on a cracker of some sort and that's when he gave it to Thirteen to eat.

Best line of the night: Thirteen, after tasting House's egg concoction, "That's the best thing I've ever eaten. And yes, that includes what you're thinking."

Loved that I don't care about Taub, but damn I love 13 just for these jokes.

She's a missionary.
If she's a missionary, why is she dressed like a hooker?
I meant the position.
