Yes, but only because it was the trendy thing to do. Paul strikes me as someone who identifies himself as liberal only because it fits into his pseudo-hipster persona. I don't think he is genuinely concerned with the plight of African-Americans, it's simply the "in" stance to take, and he makes a big show of it when others are around: "Look, here's my black girlfriend! Aren't you absolutely shocked? I'm utterly beyond such small-minded prejudices." It's all an act with him - he's merely a collection of self-conscious affectations. Probably my least favorite character on the show. I thought I recognized the actor playing the head Brit - he was Andy Warhol in Mary Harron's film. Sorry for the late bump, I'm a bit behind this season!

My wife and I are late newcomers to Mad Men. We purchased both seasons 1 & 2 on Blu-Ray from Amazon. The package arrived on Friday... WOW! Three shows in and we're hooked. I'm not going to read the comments from this thread (try not to at least).
Smart, funny... and very well made. Love it!
So, obviously we'll skip trying to catch up to this season, instead we'll buy the Blu and join in on season 4.
I bet the geniuses at both HBO and Showtime are kicking themselves about passing this up. Actually, I'm pissed at both myself, we could be enjoying a little more flesh. Or AMC could always grow a pair... I'm pretty sure the FCC can't touch cable, so the no nudity on basic cable is a self regulated thing, although I could be wrong about that.

I dont want to read any of this thread right now so I apologize if this has already been mentioned...
I just finished Season 2 and it appears Season 3 won't be out on DVD for a while. Anyone know of a way to watch Season 3? Replays on AMC? Online?
Thanks!

The March 23 release date is actually shockingly early when you consider the fact that the season 1 and 2 DVDs sets came out in July, and that season 3 ended two weeks later than the prior two seasons.
Anyone else of the opinion that no other active American TV show besides Mad Men matters?
(Breaking Bad is alright, but I wouldn't buy it on DVD and rewatch it constantly.)
