Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
Chicken wings for some reason amplify heat. I don't blame him.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
I wasn't a fan of this episode. After showing off those insane sandwiches, they end up giving him the wings. Those were clearly made for no other reason but to burn people's mouths. I'm guessing the main reason he didn't finish was because they tasted like crap. All of the other hot challenges he's done use good ingredients and have flavor. He always comments on how good things taste regardless of the heat. Not for these.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
those sandwiches looked so painful, yet i would consider trying the one w/ the bugers and cheesesteaks haha
didnt he do a burger w/ all the hot peppers and ghost chili on the season premiere??

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
Wow... this is the first time I've seen Adam almost have a reversal. I'm surprised he didn't just mow on some vanilla ice cream afterwards that it was so hot.

I don't blame Adam for quitting... did you see all the habanero and ghost chili extract that went into that sauce?! Hot damn!

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
this wasn't the first time he had the ghost chilis though, right? i could've sworn he ate them in another challenge.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
He did - in a cheeseburger in the S2 premiere (San Antonio). That's why I said earlier that the Ghost Peppers won this time.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
that was ghost chili extract...not the chili itself. I bet that amplified the heat a bit more as well.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
He almost didn't get through them the first time ... if I remember right he took almost 15 minutes between his first and second bite ...

The four horsemen burger had real ghost chiles, not extracts. Also, the chiles were sauteed, which mellows them out (heat destroys capsaicin). |

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
Did anyone watch the vlog for last week's episode. He mentioned that the owner of the restaurant "dosed" the wings with extra ghost chile extract. He didn't seem very happy about it either. He mentioned that the ghost chile is going to be making another appearance later this season.
I bet, if the show is picked up for a 3rd season, he will make it clear to producers that he won't do another ghost chile challenge. For both of the challenges that included it this year, he said they were terrible while he was eating them. |

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
For not rerunning the SF episode!
I dont get the Ghost Chile shit. I like hot spicy, LOVE it. But I hate Jalepenos (the flavor is shit) so I can imagine these crappy things as just taking away and not enhancing a damn thing.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
that philly cheesesteak looked fucking awesome.
![]() pretty much knew Adam was going to crush that challenge. he seems to do well on sandwich challenges.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
One thing has kinda bothered me about this season. Most of the challenges seem to have been made up just to get the show to come there. I think most or all of the challenges this season have only been in existence for the last year or so.
The first season had some classic challenges, such as The Big Texan in Amarillo. Last night's challenge had never even been tried before. I want them to get back to doing some challenges that have some history to them. |

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season
I was informed at work today that CheeseWiz is a requirement ... WTF?
It's nice to know that the "first time" challenge thing is bothering somebody else ... the guy who created it hadn't even tried it! I seriously found myself wondering if Adam was going to take a dive just to "build up" the challenge.
