That looked awesome - even though I'd probably be full after 4 bites.

I wish that place was on the strip.

I had a feeling he wouldn't be able to down that burrito. Impressive effort though. That's a lot of volume - particularly mushy volume between the guac, sour cream and beans. Plus the rice probably expands some in the stomach. He tends to do better with the spicy (no volume) challenges and meat-based ones.

I wonder if I can just alter the burrito so that they can leave off the jalapenos? I've done two of these...

I think I could become #3 on that wall!

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season

I'm tempted to go down to Chucky's to try their 15.99 Four Horsemen burger... maybe the next time I'm in San Antonio.

I'm a sick bastard who drenches everything with habanero sauce whenever I get a chance though. heh. I think the key would be just eating the thing without stopping once you start... it's letting the pepper settle on your tongue and burn that really kills ya, lol.

Sweet.
I have no idea how someone could fit that amount of rice and beans in them... that's the most filling thing you can eat.

Adam is great

He is a really good example of a guy who is not terribly attractive physically (he's not ugly by any means) but has a ton of charisma.

Considering habaneros range between 200,000 and 300,000 scoville units and ghost chiles average around 1,000,000 units, I think you are underestimating the pain involved. Not saying you couldn't do it, just that it would be a lot worse than you think.

Think about what Adam has eaten since he started this show. He said on his vlog that it was by far the most painful thing he had ever eaten. He's eaten some extremely spice stuff and I've never seen him stop after one bite and nearly quit the challenge. It was also the first time I had seen him call something "terrible".

Hash House is my absolute favorite place to eat in Vegas. I've yet to have anything bad there. Now I want to go back to to eat there.

I just got through watching the first season on Netflix Watch Instantly, and the only time he ever said something negative was when he had the lutefisk. That was one of the funnier parts of the entire season, and I completely agree with him.

I really like Adam, although watching him eat makes me involuntarily reach for napkins.

I'm actually planning on trying this one sometime in the next couple of weeks. I love hot stuff. I've been tased and OC sprayed. What's the worst that can happen?

Actually, I'm sure I'll be crying and praying for death, but it's worth a shot.

I love this show. I discovered Juan in a Million because of it. While I can only eat one Don Juan breakfast taco, it's so wonderful.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season

Tonight's ep:

"Adam takes on the spicy tuna hand roll challenge at Bushido Japanese Restaurant in Charleston, SC. Will Adam be defeated by the heat or claim one more victory for Man!"

I'll take Man and lay big points in this one. Adam rules in the spicy challenges.

Kind of a weird challenge to have in Charleston. Charleston has phenominal food (southern and seafood), and while tuna qualifies as seafood, I don't really think of sushi and Charleston as going together.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season

Love MvF ... was severely depressed when I missed filming in Springfield ... I am surprised that they didn't go to the Pizza Machine though -- it's not the best pizza I've ever had, but they have a pizza so big that it is delivered by an in-house pulley and crane system!

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season

Kinda lame that they brought out the sushi in 4 servings. I guess this way he could not complete the challenge faster because if it were me, I would have gone with the hottest first and worked backward.

I feel like that's the point. You have to go from 1-10

No problem with that sushi.

The shrimp & grits and the chicken buscuit at that Hominy Grill looked awesome.

Yep. At first I thought he had to do 10 of the level 10, but then when I saw it was a progression, it became even more of a slam dunk.

Re: Man V. Food: 2nd Season

I'd try the shrimp and grits. I would not go near the oysters!

I didnt think Adam would be able to finish all of them, especially when he was having problems getting thru #7 (I think). Great job though getting thru it. Next time they should make one with that ghost pepper! LOL
