Re: Do Televisions Dream of Electric Sheep- Round 2

Yup MTV does have an HD channel.

*I am not trying to cause trouble, but I was positive there was one. My cable provider carries it, but no idea if it is a "basic" channel.

Acc'd to the DirecTV guide, there is a MTV HD channel on 331.

Re: Do Televisions Dream of Electric Sheep- Round 2

according to wikipedia:

Quote:
Recently, MTV began broadcasting "MTV HD," a 1080i high definition simulcast of MTV. Only newer shows such as the new season of The Real World are aired in full 16:9 HD, and all other programs are shown in 4:3 with the video upconverted. DirecTV and Dish Network carry the HD channel.

Re: Do Televisions Dream of Electric Sheep- Round 2

I don't believe that "MTV" is in the name of any HD channel.

Re: Do Televisions Dream of Electric Sheep- Round 2

This next question should spur some debate... there are three answers that were split pretty evenly, but two people gave an answer that I'm not sure about. I'll let you guys debate it.

Re: Do Televisions Dream of Electric Sheep- Round 2

Here's my question: according to my research, Wiseguy was "set" in Miami for its third season, which didn't air until 1990.

It's both brilliant and dumb. There was a Wiseguy arc set in Miami, but that arc didn't air until 1990. So:

Quote:
Let's make this interesting. Name a show set in Miami that aired new episodes during the 1980s.
I would say it's wrong. The show wasn't set in Miami -- a particular arc of the show was set in Miami.
