Episode 2 about Burma had an interesting premise, but again did not enjoy the past-tense story-telling. I struggled to make it through 35 minutes, before I threw in the towel and deleted the remaining episode off my DVR.

One of the problems I was having is that I was just wasn't clicking with James Purefoy as the lead. I don't think he has the charm/screen premise to make this character likeable or even remotely interesting even though his causes are noble.

Another thing that annoyed me was the In-Show plugs to Bing.com.

There is simply no way in hell this gets renewed. Especially since all the episodes are shot overseas.

I agree with everything you said. I do think Purefoy makes a great lead and has the "It" factor, but he is miscast in this role. He seems drunk and (or) high all the time. Complex characters are great, but I think his Teddy is a bit too over-done. Also the supporting cast is not doing much support work. I don't understand any of their motives. I feel as if I have walked into the middle of a movie and am not sure about the how's and why's.

I think the series isn't that bad, just don't see how they can continue after the 8 ep run with the costs etc. I just finished watching Rome, so it was nice to see Purefoy again. Having not seen the original L&O with Jesse Martin, I keep picturing he is Stringer Bell, especially with Omar on this show too :-P
