'Smallville' kneels before Callum Blue's Zod

Oh. My. Zod. The new evil in "Smallville" has escaped the Phantom Zone.
Callum Blue has been cast as Clark Kent's fellow Kryptonian on Earth General Zod, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 31-year-old British actor, known for his roles on Showtime's "The Tudors" and "Secret Diary of a Call Girl," will play the son of Jor-El's future nemesis in the upcoming ninth season of The CW drama.
The DC Comics villain is best known to moviegoing audiences as Terence Stamp's megalomaniacal portrayal in 1980's "Superman II." The military leader was sentenced to the Phantom Zone for his crimes, and when he escaped to Earth, gained powers similar to Superman's because of the yellow sun.
Even though younger viewers may not recall Stamp's Zod, it's still a pretty good likeness:
Callum Blue (left) and Terence Stamp (right) as Zod in "Superman II."
Blue is also known for his roles in "Dead Like Me," the WB's "Related" and "The Princess Diaries 2."
"Smallville" returns to The CW on its new night, Friday, on Sept. 25.

Callum Blue is a pretty decent actor. I saw him on the show "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" and in this movie called "YPF."

So they reset Jimmy O. to fit more in line with the Superman mythos, but they are bringing in Zod before Clark is Superman? How exactly does that fit? Either you create your own mythos or you don't. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Sigh. They fucked up Doomsday and now it looks like they will fuck up Zod too. More and more I'm thinking of deleting this from the DVR...

Yeah and that's what I said at the start of last season and it actually started out like it was going to be an enjoyable final season then the Winter break happened and Lana came back and it got renewed and the bottom fell out.
Yeah I'll be back but it's at the point that I'm watching a show that I don't like just because I have a completest and I want to see how it ends.

I know. I'll probably end up tuning in anyway. I'm just so disappointed in how this show has wound down. It's really limping along and should have ended probably at least 2 seasons ago.

Well the left arm looks interesting. But that thing on his chest looks like a hugger from Alien.
