Re: Any "Phineas And Ferb" Fans?

I think my wife and I enjoy this more than our 2 year old daughter. It's really well written. We also enjoyed Fillmore! while it was on.

Re: Any "Phineas And Ferb" Fans?

Just like was mentioned previously, I too would buy whole season sets of this show on BD. And I don't even have kids.

I love "The Chronicles of Meap" episode! Don LaFontaine was the narrator, all the music was from different film scores, and the dialogue was composed of mostly movie one-liners that were altered to fit the plot and tone of the show.

Candace: "Get away from them... Mitch!"

Chronicles Of Meap was a great episode.

I've had these two songs stuck in my head all week:

I didn't know Don did this ep. I saw about 10 minutes of it the other day, then had to leave. I'll try to catch it on a re-run...

I thought it was pretty funny, Candace asked Meap how he had all these photos when he doesn't have pockets.

It was the last bit of voice work he ever did. The episode concludes with a fake trailer he narrated for a "Chronicles Of Meap" sequel ("Meapless In Seattle") and you hear him do his "In A World..." bit as a title card appears, dedicating the epsiode to his memory.

Those are great! When the heck will they release season sets and soundtracks for this show?

I find Jeremy's sister to be hilarious and I'm amazed that they actually got away with a 'squirrels in my pants' rap song.

Re: Any "Phineas And Ferb" Fans?

Jim Hill has a new article on the cartoon. Looks like there's going to be a Phineas & Ferb panel at Comic-Con.

The soundtrack CD has been pushed back to September 22nd, per the P&F Wiki. No details other than having 28 tracks and including "Gitchee Gitchee Goo." As for season sets, I'd buy 'em in a heartbeat as well but apparently Disney doesn't want our money.

You guys had me so intrigued that I wanted to check out a few episodes, but the usual places seem to be light on content.

Chronicles Of Meap (Part 1)

I think this is my favorite episode:

It's About Time (Part 2)

It's About Time (Part 3)

I didn't realize that Richard O'Brien was the dad on this show: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0639782/

That's so cool!

I also get a kick out of the fact that Olivia Olson is Vanessa Doofenschmirtz and Thomas Sangster is Ferb, given how Ferb is so smitten with Vanessa. This amusing to me because in Love Actually Olivia Olson was Joanna Anderson, the pretty girl with whom Thomas Sangster's character, Sam, was so hoplessly in love. It's funny in a cute sort of way.

That's great. I didn't know that. There's so many inside jokes on the show.

I love the Ferb and Vanessa stuff.

That was great. I recognized most of those episodes. So was a music video like that ever featured in the show or did some fans edit that themselves?

And if the rest of Taylor Swift's album is of that caliber, I know what my next CD purchase is gonna be.

I've never seen it before YouTube, so I'm sure it's a fan-edit. And I agree about Taylor Swift. I never paid much attention to her before, but that song was pretty good. I guess it's from the Hannah Montana movie.

The first time I ever saw her was in the Hannah Montana movie. I remember her having a very good singing voice but not much else about the song. I certainly know it didn't get me anywhere near as interested in her CD as the song in that video did.

Tweet from Kevin Smith yesterday:

"Waffle/Wife Update: got fucked like a Belgian. Filthy woman, my spouse. Ironically, soon off to record a voice for PHINEAS & FERB!"

I've never seen the show... but I may have to find out which episode he's in.
