You just hate dogs. The dog and "meat mode" was pretty funny, but Umbuntu was lame.
(I had a dog who HATED crows, he would snag them out of the air just like the dog in the final scene. Only crows, he wasn't a cat, and he left other birds alone, but I buried a lot of crows.)

See while I was watching I kept expecting funnier and sometimes more subtle jokes but they never came. One example when she was looking at the board and the good and bad things kept bouncing back and forth, and it was mildly funny, but what would of been a lot funnier is if they kept it up while she was talking to her friends and you could see the board in the background.

While I think the premise is great, it wasn't all that funny although the line by the dad to the kid at the end was perfect: "the important thing is that you feel guilty about it."

People can give all they crap in the world and still be full of crap.
I never watched Beavis and Butthead. I never watched King of the Hill. I'm watching this show because of the premise.
I thought it was pretty funny and so did my wife. She has lots of friends from her warm water pool class who are a lot like these people. They're very nice and she likes them but she just keeps her mouth shut when they go on like the people in the show.

And let's be honest, it isn't as though they were kind to the church people with a marriage ceremony to their dads, etc. That was uber creepy and funny.

I think I missed something but why was the minister calling out to Trayvon (sp) to interview the Goode family outside of the church when he was supposedly there to do an ambush documentary on the subject? Was the minister a priest and not affiliated with that church?

I laughed at a few things ("colored greens", the whole Whole Foods parody) but like many of you, I question whether there is enough here for a whole show.I think this family would have been funnier as a neighbor/supporting cast sort of like the Flanders family in the Simpsons.
Like the whole Umbuntu thing - yeah that's funny, he is a white African, but I am not sure where else they can go with him other than that one joke. Was he supposed to be slow or something? I didn't get his character at all. The daughter was likeable and it was hilarious that her mom was horrified at her joining the abstinence crowd.
I had a good chuckle over "It's ok for us to wear flag pins now" line. And the minority convention where they decide what to call Puff Daddy,

I tuned in last week - it didn't keep my attention.
I think the only thing that made me walk back into the room was when I heard the voice of that "lesbian seagull" teacher on Bevis and Buthead - then I would watch for a minute or so and remember why I walked out in the first place.

Just seeing this thread bumped up to the top brought back all the rage I felt when I watched the pilot.
But as I mentioned before, I'm still going to give it one or two more shots since sometimes shows do need a few episodes before it really gets going. That said, since they're shooting them off back to back it looks like I just may end up being right about it not lasting too long.

That animal is the grossest thing I've seen on a cartoon in a long time.
Love the starving dog seeing the field of squirrels.

I'm bailing on this show. It was a chore to get through the 2 eps. last night and agreed about the animal. Not good at all.

I liked bits and piece of it, but overall it gets a "meh". Ubuntu is even more annoying and useless than Bobby Hill, and I didn't think that was possible.
