So is My Name is Earl dead? Wasn't it supposed to move to Fox this season.

Well, they can't announce it since NBC has not officially canceled it. Once NBC passes on it, they have the option of picking it up. NBC would never cancel it and allow Fox to tout getting a show from NBC days before their press conference. Is it likely it will never return? Sure, but Fox could always order another 18-22 episodes and stick on Friday when Brothers get canceled o they run out of 'Til Death.

Re: Fox's 2009-2010 Fall Schedule - New/Returning Shows

I'm really looking forward to Glee tomorrow. I think it looks absolutely fantastic. Will post my thoughts after tomorrow's premiere episode.

Brothers and Past Life will be canceled almost immediately. Brothers sounds terrible and FOX has tried shows like Past Life in the past and they have been pulled almost immediately. Wanda Sykes' show will probably be gone pretty quickly too.

I'll probably tune in for Sons Of Tuscon and Human Target, although I am not that optimistic about either sticking around.

I'm getting sick of MacFarlane's shows. American Dad has been steadily improving because it doesn't rely on the non-sequitors like Family Guy does. Family Guy has consistently been going down hill; The Cleveland Show could either go the way of Family Guy and suck or go the American Dad route and be decent. Either way, I'd rather them keep King Of The Hill in that timeslot, but obviously that isn't going to happen. I think it's a sad commentary on the viewers that FOX has already ordered a second season of The Cleveland Show because it knows people eat MacFarlane's shit up.

That being said, glad to see Lie To Me and Dollhouse returning.

Fringe moving to Thursday at 9=FAIL. Seriously, are they trying to kill it? Grey's, CSI, Office and SUPERNATURAL... I think all of the people watching SUPERNATURAL are probably watching Fringe, so now they'll have to choose between them...and Supernatural is entering it's final season firing on all cylinders.... Thank god for my dvr, but this is terrible scheduling.

It definitely looks like they want Fringe to fail.

Or they believe that Fringe is strong enough coming off the 1st season to compete with CSI and Grey's. Do any of you think Fringe is strong enough to compete with them?

I don't think they want it to fail, i think they believe it built up a decent core audience and will compete. it won't, even though most of the thursday night shows have gone down in ratings this past year.

Looks good. Has a strong cast. Probably won't stick around for long, although I'll definitely tune in and be pulling for it.

Well, it has a strong lead-in for it's premiere, the NFC Playoff game, so it should score big premiere numbers.

However, the show isn't produced by FOX. It's a WB production, so it needs to get some pretty big numbers to stay around. Probably close to Fringe's.
