Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
I'm confused... the article implies that Zach will be back? Is it just for the first couple episodes or what?
I'll watch as long as Dr. Cox stays put. I liked Denise last season as well. |

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
I really don't mind them continuing the Scrubs with Dr. Cox and Turk teaching Med Students, but I think they should let J.D. and Elliot gracefully exit and move on with their lives, appearing later on at some point. If Turk sticks around I expect to see Carla somewhat regularly too.
I liked the new interns, especially Denise and Sunny, although I think I heard somewhere that Sunny won't be back this time around, which is unfortunate. Her and Denise were a great pair. Apparently Sam Lloyd isn't going to be back as Ted either; I'll definitely miss him. Good that Kelso is still going to be around, but has anyone heard about The Janitor? |

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
Neil Flynn -- who plays the Janitor -- is starring in the Middle. I suppose a guest spot isn't out of the question, but don't expect him back as a regular. Judy Reyes, Sarah Chalke, and Zach Braff have all left the show, although all have agreed to do multiple episodes this season. Looks like they're using Braff in at least the first two episodes.

So they are just sticking with the Scrubs name and not changing it at all? Odd.

Some shows just don't know when to die.

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
It's like when Mrs. Garrett and the kids went from being a house mother and students at Eastland to running a store, but the show was still called the Facts of Life.

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
I just discovered Scrubs about a month ago and have loaded my TiVo up with about 140 episodes so far. I've started at season one and am watching straight through. It's hilarious! I don't know how I missed this one.
That said, I can't imagine Scrubs without JD (he seems to be the heartbeat of the show), but I'd still watch. |

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
I can't say I am too excited about this. It just seems desperate in some why. Then again, I think it would have just been better for the show to end on NBC a couple years ago.
And Facts of Life should have died before it did as well.

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
for me, the last ep. of S8 was incredible and a perfect way to end. i've let the show go in my mind and will keep it that way.
i will however tune in to the first ep. at least, but i don't have hopes for it being around too much longer and will just consider it a failed new show if it ends prematurely.

At least it has more than 1/6 of the main cast coming back.

Didn't Lawrence already explain this was about keeping the crew employed more than anything?

If I don't see it, it never happened.
And Joey was a good show. People just wrote it off before giving it a chance.

What the hell is that? That's not even Eddie on the cover. And what does a white picket fence and flowers have to do with Frasier? Is this some bootleg? Or just a really poor photochop job?

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
They should just call this new incarnation of the show After SCRUBS and let the chips lie where they may.

It's also worth noting that Bill Lawrence keeps referring to this as a pilot, so he seems to be approaching it as a new show regardless of ABC insisting it's still Scrubs. |

Re: Scrubs posied to return for a 9th Season...
I think keeping the name as Scrubs and not some variation was probably a technicality ABC needed for syndication purposes.
