Serious question: Why hasn't there been a wedding yet?

I think we will be seeing a lot of Meredith in tonight's episode.

Jim and Pam? From proposal to wedding day, it was a year and a half for me and my wife to get married. That's fairly typical.

I'm betting we won't see the wedding at all. It'll probably take place between seasons.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how Creed dresses in this episode. Knowing him, it'll be funny and disturbing at the same time.

After the absolutely abysmal episode covering Phyllis' wedding, I never want to see another wedding-themed Office episode again.

Agreed... I wouldn't mind if the Jim/Pam wedding thing happens in between seasons and they come back next season married. But supersized, mega-event wedding episodes have stunk in just about EVERY television show ever. The same type of gloppily sentimental/overhyped/predictable episode for Jim and Pam's wedding would be a major disappointment in my eyes.

^Agreed. Pam broke up with Roy in between seasons and her and Jim got together in between seasons. The only thing that happened on screen was the proposal and that was pretty short. I imagine they'll do it in between seasons.

And weren't Pam and Roy engaged for years before?

Having it happen off-camera would allow Jim and Pam to tell stories to the interview camera instead which would often be much funnier than seeing it first-hand.

I would be quite fine with that. Though I didn't hate the Phillis wedding as much as others seem to.

I raelly enjoyed Philis Wedding. Michael in that episode was so annoying and still made you feel bad for him. Just great.

Anyways I think the writters will give us the Jim and Pam wedding, maybe even the opening of next season.

Re: The Office -- "Casual Friday" -- 4/30/09

This season has been fantastic; this episode was no exception.

I really liked that during this episode everyone got a fair amount of screentime. Michael throwing "seed money" at all the sales people was great. Meredith's outfit and everyone's reaction was absolutely hilarious. Loved Creed and Jim hanging out playing games. Creed not realizing that Jim and Pam were engaged, thinking he was gay, and trying to fix him up with his daughter was classic Creed.

And I am sad to admit that Michael faking out Pam got me too. But in my defense, it isn't entirely unbelievable given Michael's unreasonable love for Ryan.

Nice call on that one. I was laughing with the boobs falling out and by the time we "saw" her ass, I was laughing even harder.

I don't think we ever saw the spot where Kevin dumped his chili on the carpet. How great was it when he was trying to clean it up with papers and filing folders?

Pam and Phyllis wearing the same outfit was great. Phyllis can go from nice person to total bitch in no time at all.

Darrell's one line was a winner.

The way Kevin was nervously cleaning up the chili, I thought he was going to go ahead and serve it.

I thought a lot of the parts of this episode were good, but I didn't care much for the premise. I think it would have been funnier to put Ryan in the warehouse, so that is what probably poisoned the premise for me.

It's funny because when Dwight had the first meeting in the episode and Meredith walked up, I was trying to remember the last time we saw Darryl. Low and behold, he turned up a few minutes later.

EDIT: Also, there are going to be new webisodes starting May 7th. They revolve around Creed trying to blackmail various members of The Office. Here's a Preview:

I think he was going to serve it until he ended up rolling around in it.

I like how Dwight forgot Stanly's last name when he was talking about the company they could form.

Re: The Office -- "Casual Friday" -- 4/30/09

The opening with Kevin was absolutely hilarious.

Parts of the episode were funny, but as usual, everything with Michael just irritated me.

I don't know why the writers can't decide what they want to do with Michael. Some episodes he's just a bumbling idiot. In others he's a dysfunctional, downright crazy loser with no social skills whatsoever. In others he's a good natured guy that wants to please everybody and actually shows SOME common sense and deep down can be a decent guy and in others, like this episode, he's just an absolute dickhead.

For years, he's thought of the people in his office as his only real family and/or friends and he totally tried to screw them. Yeah, he did sort of repent at the end, but still...throughout the whole episode he was just a jerk to everybody except Ryan and Pam.

I think others have said it, but Michael being a jerk just doesn't do it for me. But, if the writers would just pick a personality for Michael and run with it, rather than going back and forth between fool, jerk, good guy, social misfit, etc I could probably just learn to like whatever personality they end up choosing.

Re: The Office -- "Casual Friday" -- 4/30/09

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think Michael was that big of a jerk for not originally wanting to give back the sales team's clients. I understood his reasoning, and honestly i'm surprised we didn't see a little more support given the tougher time some of them had without Michael running the show.

I liked this episode getting back to poking fun at normal things that happen around the Office like casual fridays.
