A full moon brings the interns their roughest case load; Elliot has a revelation.

THis episode was very good classic Scrubs style. This just reminded me that the previous eps this season were too much like a typical sitcom it is nice that they went back to the darker style. And as far as wrapping things up this one certainly seemed to start that especially the end.

All right, I'm here to bitch! I sit down and am eager to enjoy a new episode of Scrubs. I start the recording, and it's not Scrubs. My local affiliate decided to show a job fair!
I went to the website and it actually listed the shows that were preempted as "currently on." No notice on the website of a preemption. No crawl at any time during the job fair as to when the shows would air or anything like that. I call the station to find out when they were going to air the shows, and I was actually told that the episodes that were supposed to run this week are going to air next week instead. Which means, and she confirmed, that my area will be 1 episode behind on these shows for the entire season! Does that make any sense? It still baffles me.
I would go watch on the website, but I know that ABC allows local affiliates to get a percentage of ad dollars when someone in their area watches a program. So, on principle, I don't want them getting any extra ad dollars from me, however slight that money might be. Then it dawns on me that I will be having to do this EVERY week for these shows. I'm betting that this week's episodes will actually be skipped, and whatever is scheduled next week will actually run. Just pisses me off.

Given that JD wasn't in the episode at all (along with Cox, Kelso, Janitor, Carla...pretty much everyone but Turk, Eliot, and The Todd), I'd say it was fitting to not call it My Full Moon. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Zach Braff has been present in some capacity in every single episode up to this point.
At any rate, if that's what the show would be like without most of the major players, I'd have to say it'd be pretty decent. Then again, I don't know if the writers would be able to keep the interns interesting over the course of a single season, let alone a series. It definitely seemed like they were setting the stage for Sarah Chalke to leave the show though.

Wow, so that's what Scrubs would be like without JD or Carla. It works but Turk still needs his vanilla bear as evidenced by his reaction to JD going to Disneyland without him.
Oh, and Denise finally in a bra. YAY!
Also, Sonny Day finally feeling and looking down after she couldn't wash the smell off her.

JD and Turk have never been to Disneyland prior to this. Turk mentions they had a "midlife pact," wherein when they both turn 40 they will go to Disneyland together. Like any overgrown kid with a kid, its proabably more for JD's benefit to go to Disneyland.

Our local NBC affiliate pulled this same crap at least twice in the past. You might want to contact the station (not to complain, that won't get you anywhere, they don't care), because when it was pulled off of our affiliate, they ended up airing the show eventually (I think on Sunday afternoon).

Maybe someone can answer this question for me:
I understand, that for budgetory purposes, they have to have each main cast member sit out 2 episodes of the season. But what I don't get is that those main cast members seem just as emotionally invested in the show as the creators are. So why don't they do 2 weeks of work for "free" (technically just make less money per episode) so each main cast member can be in each episode and they can still come under budget?
Is it a union thing?

Did not dig this episode in the least. Funny how these episodes with just a couple of cast members are set at night. I guess that makes sense.

I've wondered the same thing. There always a undeniable void when one of the major players is absent. Seems like they could do one pro bono or something.

More Elliot Dancing. Funny.
From what I read about not all of the cast being in it, it was the agreement they made in order to come back. All cast members had to sit a couple of episodes out for budget reasons.
Didnt miss Janitor. He got old long time ago.

I only complained on the phone after I was told they would not be showing the eps at all until next week. And you're right, they didn't care. I was hung up on after I told them the programming department was probably lucky to already be gone for the day.

Yeah Turk was great, that scene with him breaking down about not getting to go to Disneyland had me rolling.
This episode proved to me at least that the show could go on without Braff and still be good. Not that there is much chance of that.
