Fight scene was awesome !

Great episode which moved things along

With the checks they do and security they have, i would have thought a handler raping a doll would have been a lot lot harder

the remote triggers really adds a lot of possibilities to the stories

I also like the idea of global dollhouses and if the show becomes successful and goes for more seasons, i think we will see an expansion of the dollhouse universe

Yes. Tahmoh Penikett is great (and amazingly hunky/handsome). This is a great follow up role to his Battlestar Galactica Helo. I find it amusing that he was essentially competing for ratings with his last show on the same night his character has a breakaway episode for his character on Dollhouse.

Greatest one liner i've heard. Had me laughing out loud. Looked at it over and over, can't get tired of it.

Shes definitely a Milf. Id rank her 3rd behind the neighbor and Amy Acker though.

Thank you! I'm a huge Buffy and Angel fan, but the first seasons of those shows are almost unwatchable to me. Remember when Willow fell in love with a robot and Angel had to fight a guy that detached his body parts? Yeah...

Both of those shows came so far from the first few episodes it's crazy. I don't think people are really remembering how they began.

Firefly was pretty decent from the get-go (wonky episode order aside) but it wasn't until the very end of the series that I started to really get excited about what was coming next.

Dollhouse seems to be following the exact same formula.

^^ what show doesn't have such issues when they begin?

Sounds like people expect too much too soon with new shows. Not every show opens with "LOST" quality.

I read that Battlestar beat out Dollhouse and SCC. Intersting since a lot of people don't get Sci Fi (Sy Fy?)

I just watched the last 3 eps of this, they'd been sitting on my dvr and I just wasn't enthused enough by the show to make them a priority... DAMN did this show get good in the last few weeks. Loved this episode in particular and think it's steadily turning into a must see.

I just saw this last night myself. I'm glad I stuck around because I was thinking about deleting the pre-set from my DVR.

Battlestar Galactica had 2.4 million viewers (the best ratings for the show in three years) but Dollhouse still beat it with 4.13 million.

I only think the neighbor is kinda cute. I've never been into Amy Acker but I dig her as an actress.

Burn Notice, Life, Psych, Life On Mars, to name but a few that started rock solid and stayed that way.

It's sad that LOST started out so great and then suddenly went bad around season two onward.

Re: Dollhouse -- "Man on the Street" -- 3/20/09

Been catching up with this now that the dvds are out. I watched the pilot when it aired and to be honest it was a bit of a chore to make it this far. However, based on feedback from some friends and you all here I pushed to get to episode 6.

Talk about great!

I easily picked up on some Whedonesque - "Look, porn!" I also felt "neighborly" sounded like a Fireflyism.

I really felt like something was up with the neighbor, but given that they showed Victor was a doll I was thrown off the scent. Nice misdirection!

The drawback I have with that twist though is that Agent Ballard, at least from that perspective, is starting to act "dumb". He can put clues together for Caroline, but wouldn't he start asking questions such as, "How did you manage to break his neck?" Of course I'm sure the answer would be, "He tripped." and that would then be bought into.

Fight = Awesome!

I totally didn't see the conversation coming. Do you think him not hurting her was the trigger to relay the message? I also thought that it would be Echo who broke through and reached out to him, so it was interesting that it was an agent inside the house. I assume that is an Alpha connection.

Obviously the curator of the house knows that there are others in the world, but I wonder if she knows who the bosses are and the associated objectives. It would be a little of a rip off from Angel season 5, but I couldn't help but get excited about the idea that there could be a war between the houses later on with this Dollhouse trying to bring down the others and the organization.
