Dancing with the stars 3/16
Fine, I'll step up this week.
edit: combined scores:

OK. I think everyone except for Steve-O improved. Chelsie and Ty really improved this week, I think they even deserved a couple more points.
Poor Lacey having to stand there alone in that dumb outfit.

I had no problem with Lacey's outfit. And it was great to see her wiggle her tush in the dress rehearsal video.
I dunno why the judges gushed so much over Gilles' dance. There was something very off about the whole thing. The rythm, his moves, even the music (not that it matters) just felt very blah to me.
Chelsie and Ty are definitely most improved. And I appretiate Lawrence Taylor's way of thinking.

I think the judges were just tired of seeing improper spacing in the quick step all night, then when Gilles did it more "properly", they were more than happy to reward him and Cheryl with 9's.
Glad to see Tony with a partner (since Stacy Keibler) who can keep up with him. But she's sort of a ringer given her background, but at least they are bringing some good dancing to the show.
If I could, I'd jettison about 6 of the "stars" in Tuesday elimination show.

I suppose you're right in that regard, Patman.
By the way, which six would you get rid of?

That's probably the order they'll leave in too. Well, except Ty if he keeps improving.
It sucks that Lacey got saddled with Steve-O. Although I'm glad he gave it a genuine shot, even without the recent injury I very much doubt he'd have lasted long.

Chuck isn't great but you can rest assured that fans of Julianne will keep him around far longer than he deserves to be there.

In defense of Steve-O's dance this week, that was only the dress rehearsal. You could tell from his facial expressions (tentative and only half-smiling) he wasn't putting a full performance into it, but rather was just going through the motions. Not to say there wasn't a ton of other faults with it either way, but I think had he known ahead of time it was the performance he would be judged on, he would have tried harder. I actually thought Lacey looked pretty hot in that outfit.
I didn't look at Chuck once in his performance. He just disappeared into the background as Julianne commanded my attention.
I'm glad LT picked up his game this week, hopefully ensuring Edtya sticks around for awhile.
David Alan, Denise, and Belinda just feel 'doomed' to me. They aren't good enough dancers to get by on just that, none have huge fervid fanbases that will rally behind them anymore, and none have that special kind of charm that sometimes woos voters despite a dancer's lack of ability and familiarity.

I thought Holly did pretty decent but the judges love to shit on her - perhaps they just don't approve of her playboy past... hopefully Wozniak or Steve-O get gone this week... but anyone paired with a former SYTYCD cast member gets my vote, so I'd rather it be Wozniak.

Julianne looked really hot last night but she needed a skirt for that dance.
I hope Karina picks a latin dance and skimpy outfit for her final dance in the dance-off tomorrow.
It's a certainty that Cheryl and the SATC dude win the whole thing.

Yep, should have added the 'neither' option. Belinda looked pretty bummed at first. Oh well.
I liked Cameron's tip about how to avoid getting hurt on dwts - don't sign up!

I did not expect Belinda to be the one to go. Although she wasn't all that good, Steve-Woz was much much worse.
Glad to see I'm not the only one that thought so.
Oh, I agree. Don't get me wrong, I like that he's not whining about his limitations and simply pushing himself to do the best he's capable of. I just don't think he and Lacey will go very far this season. Which is too bad cos I need my regular Lacey fix.

Re: Dancing with the stars 3/16
So the thought process of the results show went something like this:
"Hey about instead of having the judges pick the best performance for an encore, let's have the 2 of the crappiest performance go again!"
"Yeah, and we can call it a dance off and make it sound all dramatic... FOOOOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (ever, ever,ever...)... a Dance Off!"
"Yeah, this is great we can also throw in some more judges scores so we can tweak the results a bit if we don't like the way things turned out!"
+1, And now performing on the mainstage....

Re: Dancing with the stars 3/16
I was surprised Belinda was going because I thought her fanbase was big enough to save her. I guess Woz' geek campaigning worked.
I really want Julianne to step up her game. Since her focus on singing, the dancing has suffered teaching-wise.

Re: Dancing with the stars 3/16
I agree on Julianne. I remember last season she did a couple of routines that were almost the exact same as some of her previous dances. Of course, that may be the case with other dancers too but I tend to zone in on Julianne

I don't follow country music, but Julianne's music career hasn't been that successful, has it?
I thought I heard her album got bad reviews. Did it sell much?
