This show sure makes it difficult to remain a loyal viewer ...... not horrible, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if I missed it.

But ..... I gotta keep watching any show with dialogue like this:

"I'll be back later to attach your electrodes."

One of the most boring episode so far. Only highlight is Summer Glau in a bra.

I thought it was an ok episode, though I figured out the twist about half way through. More than anything, it didn't really progress any storyline at all. Fortunately, it appears next week's episode definitely will.

And for good measure take the most popular character and literally have her loiter in the background, if she's shown at all.
That about sums it up.

I'm watching until the bitter end. I do have to agree with everyone that season 2 has been very disappointing.

I think Josh Friedman and all his production staff better start looking for their next new gigs soon.

I don't think season 2 in general has been all bad. I actually was really digging it up until the fall finale, and it seems everything since then has been crap.

Re: Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles -"Some Must Watch While Some Must Sleep"- 2/2

The entire episode I was asking myself if I'd actually be sitting here watching if it didn't have "Terminator" in the title. Sadly, the answer is 'no'. In the beginning the team stuck together so we always cared about what was going on. Now, it's rare that Sarah and John are even in a scene together. Most of the time they talk on cell phones. Derek just shows up once in a while when he feels like it. Even if it does tie in sometimes, the Weaver/Ellison stuff feels so disconnected from the rest of the show. Add in the Riley/Jessie stuff and you have a show that's just all over the map.

That's exactly how I feel too. This board seems to have short memories though.

It sure seemed like the majority of people that posted in the Teriminator thread each week kept saying that the show was getting better and better each week. Now, after a couple bad episodes the general concensus is that the entire season has been weak?

In any event, I thought the first part of season 2 (up until the fall finale) blew the first season away and I was loving it. The fall finale and the episodes since then have been pretty disappointing though. I'm bummed because it sure doesn't look like this show will get another year and it was kicking so much ass prior to the fall finale. It's almost as if the production team decided they didn't want to work next year and are trying to get canned.

Re: Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles -"Some Must Watch While Some Must Sleep"- 2/2

I was one of those who saw each episode of season 2 as better than the previous, but the season premier was "ok."

If the rest of the season doesn't deliver, then as a whole it would have been a bad season, regardless of how well-done the fall half was.

Everyone I know that still watches it, has given up on the full episodes and gone to fast forwarding through the bad parts which comes down to about a 20 minute episode.
I think they should move Dollhouse to a timeslot after Fringe.

Wow what a horrible pointless ep. And I've liked most other eps.

Big continuity error. The comic bit with John, Cameron and the vending machine. If that was the actual nightmare, why did Sarah dream it? She wasn't involved...

Bad writing, not a good episode, in an otherwise excellent series.

Re: Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles -"Some Must Watch While Some Must Sleep"- 2/2

I didn't watch the show until Sat morning, and I read the first 3-4 comments about the episode in this thread the night before, so I pretty much knew what was going on the whole episode. Rather than spoiling it, I think that made it more bearable. I probably would have found the hospital stuff much more boring if I wasn't looking for the hidden meaning in everything. As a fan of the show I though it was an OK episode, but for a show that desperately needs to hook new viewers it was horrible.

@N2DVD
I wouldn't call it a continuity error. It does go against some of the conventional dream rules, but then you have to look at what we saw as an interpretation of her drug induced dreams. So while she may not have been able to see Cameron walk by John in her undies or the security guard phone the nurse to tell her there was an intruder in the basement room, these may have been things she just "knew" were happening in her dream state.

It makes perfect sense. It was showing Sarah's deep-seated fear and paranoia of Cameron becoming the Fonz.

It actually reminded me of something from The Simpsons:

Bart Simpson: Why did a vision about my future involve a story with Homer and Lincoln's gold?
Chief: I guess the spirits thought the main vision was a little thin.

Re: Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles -"Some Must Watch While Some Must Sleep"- 2/2

http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/03/dollhouse-dvr.html

According to just-released live-plus-seven-day DVR data, the "Dollhouse" premiere episode's rating increased 30% once time-shifted viewing was added in. "Dollhouse" went from a 2.0 adult demo number to a 2.6.

"Dollhouse" lead-in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" gained even more -- 36%.

TERMINATOR 1.4 adult demo rating to a 1.9 = 36% increase
Can someone explain to me what all this means? A 36% increases in viewers has to be good right?

it's increasing that percentage of viewers when they "factor" in people not watching live, but from their DVRs.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm hoping that Fox takes into consideration these numbers then. It appears that a large chuck of the T-SCC viewing audience is out on a Friday night and records the show to watch later.

On a side note, I want to show to succeed, but the last two episodes didn't exactly earn "Save until I delete" status on my DVR.

Here's hoping next week's episode kicks up the action.

Spoiler:
I will scream to the high heavens if Riley is taken out by Cameron in next week's episode. Ausiello hints at it in a recent post:

Question: Any rumors, tidbits, scoops, or details regarding Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles? Is what I fear most about to pass -- is Summer Glau leaving the show? -- Kevin B.

Ausiello:
No, but one of her female co-stars is on March 6.

Re: Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles -"Some Must Watch While Some Must Sleep"- 2/2

I read the producer's blog. Honestly I feel like they killed the show with these Sarah Connor psyche episodes. I guess they would be fine if they were the B story or something, but they are boring as hell. I turned off last week's episode after 15 minutes and this episode got about 8 minutes. I recognized this show would be a complete mindfuck and pointless. I'm not an action junkie but I really don't care about Sarah Connor's psyche.

Now let me back up for a second. I thought Linda Hamilton was crucial in both T1 and T2 to add some humanity and evolution to the movie. The movies don't work without her, as can be seen in T3. But this X-files detour, coupled with Sarah's psyche episodes makes the whole thing a complete bore.

I find Riley and Derek's gf to be dead weight. I wouldn't lose sleep over either of them getting offed next week.

Yeah no doubt.

Sure, promo clips like that always look good cuz they take the best parts of each episode and leave out all the crap, but man that looks awesome.

It's too bad that the last couple episodes may have sealed the show's fate before possibly the best episodes of the series can save it.

That promo was awesome! Perhaps a strong finish might give them a shot at another season, perhaps someone brought in to keep the pacing in order? It would be nice to have the show continue as another film will probably be in the cards in the next few years.
