Re: 30 Rock -- "Larry King" -- 2/26/09

I did find myself laughing a lot more than usual.

The opening part with Jack in Liz's office I thought was funny with the whole, "Liz, you're a woman, right?" and her getting on the defensive, but then referring to women as "they, I mean we..."

THANK YOU!!! I knew he looked familiar but I just couldn't figure out what else I'd seen him in. It was bugging me the whole episode.

This episode did seem a little off, but I can't figure out why. Still good though!

I'm currently rewatching AD with the wife and as much as I loved AD, I have to say that I laugh out loud more with 30 Rock than I did with AD.

Wow, guys....2 pages in an no animated gif of Selma swingin' her sweet sexy ass as she answers the door in her robe?

Funny ep all around. I loved Lemon's bit about being a Female.

We, white folks preferred the shots of Salma's boobs.

I thought this episode was okay, thought it was one of the weaker ones of the season.

If boobs and ass get people to watch this show, Great.
I am not a big fan of Selma's character. She doesn't do much for the show.

Kenneth - "When you say adult picture do you mean adult as in driving a car or wearing a suit?"

I own the same Sharp Aquos HDTV Jack Donaghy has in his office.

As much as I like Alec Baldwin, Tracey Morgan is the funniest guy on this show. His stuff with Larry King was GOLD!

"If you're just tuning in, Tracy Jordan is giving guitar icon, Peter Frampton, enigmatic clues to a secret treasure."

The Larry King stuff was hilarious.

I love how quickly Tracy went from celebrity interview to pundit. There wasn't a moment's hesitation...and I think any other show would have made it more "well...I'm not sure I'm qualified to say this but..." He just flipped a switch and started talking...and Larry was right there with him. Classic.

Usually Larry King cameos are a snooze, but this one was classic!

That was awesome - "We're here with Tracey Jordan, who just recounted the entire plot of the movie Teen Wolf".

I definitely literally LOL much more with this show than any other. And it's all due to the throwaway lines (like Liz saying the picture was the only time her boobs faced the same direction). The writing is crisp and the delivery is awesome. I can honestly say there are no weak links on this show for me. When the show first started, I was worried about Morgan, but he consistently has some of the funniest lines (and delivery) on the show. Tina Fey has grown on me sooooo much since i got burned out on her on SNL (we'll see if Amy Poehler can redeem herself with me, but I doubt it). And of course Baldwin is a genius.

I really don't know why he hasn't done more comedy. The man has great timing and delivery.

I liked the "Everyone's gone co-co for cu-cu poops! Is that right?" That had me rolling.

Another great part was that Jack lied about being able to dunk a basketball (which he can do, on a regulation hoop). That just cracked me up as such a guy thing to do...
