So, another interesting episode that advances the "why is Sam in 1973?" plotline as well.
Man who met with Ray and Annie had a white rabbit on his cane, obvious symbolism there. Suppose he's the "Wizard"? Loved the ending with Sam in Gene's office, even though UK version minor spoiler: Spoiler:

So how is this show doing in the ratings department? Is it likely to get a second season? I'm interested in picking it up but dont want to bother if its just gonna get cancelled.

Getting beaten by CSI: NY, holding it's own against L&O.

Imperioli plays a great douche.

I've been enjoying the show a lot more since it's come back from hiatus. It's starting to feel like it's own show instead of a carbon copy of the original (with American overtones).

This has gone from an enjoyable show to a "must-see" for me - this week was one of the best so far!

Re: Life on Mars -- "Home is Where You Hang Your Holster" -- 2/18/09
Agreed. They've gone to plots that didn't come out of the British show and, more importantly, several of the lead characters are being developed and defined differently from their British counterparts, most notably Imperioli's Ray Carling, who is becoming a far more dynamic force in the American version than the British one was in the original. Hopefully, ABC will see enough positive movement in the ratings and demographics to give the show a chance to develop and gain more of an audience.

Where is his hot neighbor? How in the hell did Ray get a wife like that?

It has been argued that she doesn't really exist except to Sam.

Finally watched this last night. This and the hospital episode were the two best episodes so far imho.
