Dan hasn't gone back to the Dharma period yet. Hence, we havn't seen it yet. Charlotte lived the timeline out so she remembers it. Why she didn't mention it until now is a better question.

How did I know that that was going to happen re: Locke.

The whole explaining the future by going back in the past isn't working out the way the writers have planned. This is their way of filling in the holes but it takes a HUGE amount of suspension of disbelief to just go along with it.

I'm entertained by it either way

Time travel. Needed a great deal of suspension of belief from that point on. Plotholes from time travel plots are a given.

Goddamn ending

I am also entertained but at the same time confused on how they expect people coming from point F back to point A not to remember crossing paths with people from points in between.

Re: Lost -- "This Place is Death" -- 2/11/09

There hasn't been a whole lot of it. Charlotte was a kid so Miles wouldn't necessarily remember, likewise she may of not been sure and would have felt stupid, like in real life. The big one is Rosseau and Jin, but as others stated, minimal interaction and she was pretty fucked up when they met.

Locke, Richard, and one of the other Others were the main ones.

Maybe I should start watching the "pop-up video" episodes a week later instead of when they air new. I'm thoroughly confused, now.

What's so confusing? This episode resolved quite a few issues that were only hinted at previously.

Things are moving a lot faster than I figured they would, as far as Locke getting off the island and Ben getting (most of) the O6 rounded up.

I wish we could've seen "when" they were jumping to more though. Did the jump when Locke was hanging on the rope go way into the future or past (since the well disappeared)?

Save for the previously mentioned time travel connundrums, this season has been one of the more straight forward ones.

Re: Lost -- "This Place is Death" -- 2/11/09

There are serious thunderstorms in our area right now. When the show went to a commercial it was instead a live local weather alert. The weather man was holding up his hands and the first thing he said was, "Don't worry, you're not going to miss a minute of 'Lost', but we have to talk about this weather..." Either he's a fan, or they know they'd catch a lot of shit from viewers.

I really dug this episode. Loved seeing Smokey again. They way it was holding on to the guy tighter and tighter was intense. Pretty grisly episode, too with the sudden amputation, flies around the bullet holes, or Locke's leg bone.

I love cliffhangers, but this was a bit weak with ending on 'Let's get started.' I would have liked a little more to make our minds wonder what was going to happen next. Something like, 'Now let's get started, shall we? Everyone take off your clothes.' LOST

Cant believe Locke died from a wound to the knee.

No wonder they kept flying thru time. the wheel was off its axis. shouldnt they stop time travelling now?

I don't know. It seems like it, but I thought that the 70-hour deadline was referring to a window during which the island was once again located in the "present". But it's also quite possible that something else happens after 70 hours that allows the island to be located. I guess we'll find out very soon.

I was surprised by how much I liked the time travel aspect so far this season, but it's getting a bit old. It'd be neat to see what happened with the Black Rock, Adam and Eve and more on who was living at the island at what times (how did Dharma get there? How did the military?), but hopefully they'll be able to resolve those questions some other way.

Re: Lost -- "This Place is Death" -- 2/11/09

ok, so i saw the commercial about staying tuned to Life On Mars for an exclusive look at Lost untangled. Figured it might have some good information.

Well that was 23 minutes of my life I won't get back. a cut out little puppet of Desmond and Ben saying "You're Not by brother" in the australian accent. Who the hell thought of that and who the hell thought that would be worth putting on the air?

Wow, I completely loved that episode. Might have been the best hour of Lost ever in my opinion. So many questions answered. The only thing that confuses me still is Christian/Jacob. The say hi to my son line obviously refers to Jack but how did he become Jacob?

Great episode. On the edge of my seat the whole time.

So Smokie is guarding the temple. Does he only attack when people get close to it?

Also, apparently the island/Christian must have wanted Locke off of the island. And he/it doesn't seem to be a big fan of Ben.

Re: Lost -- "This Place is Death" -- 2/11/09

This episode was weak. It was better than last weeks but it felt as though the writers were simply connecting dots. The plot was driving the characters forward. Usually, it is the other way around. I hope Damon and Carlton know what they are doing. Since they are credited as the writers for the next two episodes they had better deliver with them or a lot of my interest in this series is going to stop. And I am, for the most part, a HUGE fan of Science Fiction.

This season started out excellent but right now, with these last two episodes, all I feel is a degree of worry over this show that I love so much. And what we saw tonight had better not be the whole "backstory" to Rousseau. If so: DISAPPOINTMENT. That is all I feel.

I wonder if Sun will have to bring her daughter back too.

This is the best show so far.

I would suspect that smokie should them some images of the future. Makes me wonder if it wasn't Rousseau that was the crazy one and her shipmates were trying to "take care" of her.

The show needs its fillers to keep it on track, it happens and it wouldn't be as noticeable if we were all watching it in a marathon session. It was more or less filler, but necessary filler.

What we saw tonight did not really show us "the sickness". For instance, did her partner kill the team? He tried to shoot her after she let her guard down. He seemed mighty calm for someone who just witnessed a "Security System" (albeit, I'm sure this is probably true) rip apart one of his team members -- leaving behind that arm.

So what's the explanation anyway? That the sickness is her being crazy? Is that it? If so it failed to show in tonights episode. Also, I was hoping for a bit of a reunion for the character with flashes between the younger and older (pre-death) Rousseau. That seems less likely now.
