I'm surprised no one mentioned the "Never ever ever ever allowed in list" on Dr. Cox's door.

I liked the homage to the 2nd episode of the entire series with everything synching to a musical rhythm.

I thought the Ukulele player was ugly as shit, but I busted up at the "I want to screw you" out of nowhere in the song.

Wow. Tell us how you really feel! Sigh... I too found her... unattractive. But it makes perfect sense as Ted is no prize either. In fact as... unattractive as I found her, she may still be too cute for Ted.

Was it just me or did the film stock/quality look off these two episodes - particularly the first?

Both episodes were just OK but that bit of dialogue from the janitor was funnay as hell.

If anyone's interested, here's the original "Fuck You" version of the song (language NSFW, I guess):

I like the "Screw You" version better... it fit the show.

Call me conservative.

The highlight of the show was "puberty beard".

I thought both episodes were great. The whole scene with Ted's dry mouth and drinking the j(g?)um had me

Re: Scrubs - "My New Role" & "My Lawyer's In Love" (02/03/09)

I thought these were decent episodes. "even a bad episode of scrubs is better than most shows on TV, blah, blah, blah"

I didn't love Ed, but he had his moments. if his firing means more screen time for the monotone-speaking intern, that will be horrible.

I actually love that kelso is still part of the show. i was afraid he would be gone for good after last season, and he's one of my favorite characters.

I didn't like how Kelso had to spell out to JD that Cox was the new Kelso and JD had to be the new Cox. I would have liked to have seen JD realize that in a little less direct fashion.

And the girl is cute, by no means hot. But that's what they were establishing. A girl we would consider mildly cute is a goddess to Ted.

I did miss Chocolate Bear.

I liked Ed. I didn't care that he was a lazy (but still the best of the bunch) intern. That was an interesting character to me, and thought they could have done much more with it.

I'll miss him already.

God. Me too. Why did they even have an annoying intern? Why would you go through all those medical classes and just be lazy aftewards.

Glad they Gave Ted a girl.

Yeah, the only weird thing is that he looks old enough to be her father.

Off topic, but I know a bunch of guys like him in med school. They phone it in through med school, don't really care about what they're doing but for some reason become one of the best out there.

It was established earlier that Ed was one of the better interns but didn't really care about rising to the top. Hence, the laziness.

Sam Lloyd (Ted) is 45.

Did you know that Sam Lloyd is Christopher Lloyd's nephew? Weird, huh?

This isn't just limited to medicine, as I've known a lot of engineers who are the same way. In a lot of cases, they're just drawn to the profession for the money, not necessarily a passion for the work.

But I think in Ed's case, it wouldn't be too far off to consider that his parents may have pushed him into the profession. Sure it's a bit of a stereotype, but it's entirely possible.

Exactly - there's gotta be at least a 20 year age difference.

It seems like they're trying to get the 2 episodes for each main character to be absent out of the way at the beginning so that the final stretch of episodes have the entire main cast.
