I bought a bunch of australian tv on dvd recently and will be marathoning those.
The Hollowmen Series 1 & 2 (fast paced political comedy like The Thick Of It but sillier)
Stupid Stupid Man Series 1 & 2 (set in a mens magazine, pretty funny sitcom)
Frontline Series 1-3 (australian larry sanders show but about a news magazine show)
The Librarians Series 1 (odd/subtle sitcom about...um.....librarians, funny though)
Very Small Business Series 1 (very funny, similar to I'm Alan Partridge, kinda)

I look forwards to watching more of each, but based on the first episode of each, I'm more inclined to jump back into the Pushing Daisies world first.

So I gave the first episode of Spaced and the first episode of Pushing Daisies a try last night. I loved every minute of Pushing Daisies, but Spaced was a little lacking. It had some funny moments, but not the laugh riot everyone makes it out to be. Of course, the first episode seemed to be setting things up more than anything.

But seriously, I completely adore Spaced and Pushing Daisies. I would definitely encourage you to try to watch a couple more episodes of Spaced before making a final call.
As for my holiday viewing, I got DirecTV on Christmas Eve. The installation turned out to be an early Christmas present to myself.
So I've been watching all of the most current season of Friday Night Lights through OnDemand. It feels weird to be watching it in such a compressed time when it hasn't even been shown on NBC, but I guess it will at least save the trouble of having to record it when the season does start airing on NBC.

I borrowed the first 3 seasons of Battlestar Gallactica DVDs from a friend. Watched S1 from last Wednesday to Saturday. Watched disc 1 of S2.0 last night. I should be able to roll through S2.5 by the end of the week.
Also watched a few holiday DVDs.

Wonderfalls was a joy to watch while I was on my Christmas vacation and now I'm moving on to Rome (I've already seen the first season, but I'm watching both now that I got season 2 for Christmas).

I'm using the time to catch the shows that I never saw on air. Currently in the midst of a Six Feet Under marathon. I've just finished Season 2. What a great show with such great characters. Although, ironicly, my grandmother is not doing too well and close to passing and so I just came back from a funeral home to go over funeral arrangements. It was kinda surreal watching a funeral home like that on television and then walking through one just like it and going over the same details that all of those other people on the show go thru in setting a funeral up.

If anyone wants to check out Burn Notice, tomorrow USA is showing the entire first season minus the pilot. Between that and the marathon they will have on 22nd, to kick off the 2nd half of season two, you have the entire series except the pilot.

Right now I've been catching up on a lot of movies that I've missed this year, but when I get through with those in a few days I will start watching:
Big Love, In Treatment, John Adams, Brotherhood, Dead Set, Look Around You, State of Play, Jekyll, Angels in America, Summer Heights High, Deadwood, Carnivale, Felicity, My So-Called Life, and Rome.

A couple of things I've watched over the last few weeks (when I've had time to watch):
- The first season of Airline (on Netflix Instant Queue): Pretty good. A few episodes are boring, but most have at least one worthwhile storyline.
- The first season of Dogfights (also on Netflix Instant Queue): Very good. With the ads cut out, there's a lot of repetition, but the stories are insanely awesome.
- Deep Space 9: I've watched it before, but my fiance hadn't. We finished TNG and Voyager, now we're running through DS9 (in the middle of season 2) and she really likes it.

I got through all the Friday Night Lights eps that were on Direct's OnDemand and realized that there are 2 eps not up! Ugh! Now I'm moving on to season 2 of Californication, for which I had already seen a few episodes.
