OK episode. They were going for shock value when the
, and I was pretty shocked, but I disliked where they took that storyline. The way it related to the other doctor seemed cliched as well.

Since I can't stand Simon, his childhood rape trauma didn't much resonate with me at this time (I realize it's a horrible thing to happen to anyone, but I was just disengaged by his revelations, just because I don't find much sympathetic about the character). Morris is quickly becoming the go-to guy to spill their pasts to this final season. But the whole bit with the emergency eye surgery was pretty ghastly.

I think they had to do something to make him appear 'human'. It's obvious that he and Neela are going to hook up.. I think they made him a rape victim so we would accept that when it happens.
He's the womanizer he is because of that tragic thing that happened during his childhood...not because he's a jerk.... let's have Neela come in and become the love of his life and he'll be all fixed and they'll live happily ever after.
