Most of the fans here don't have Directv and have to wait until February.

I'm loving this season. IMO, it's damn near season 1 quality.

Another great, great episode.
God, this show is so good....

Do we believe Cash? Hmmmmm...

Mindy's wedding dress: "I can see your crack"

Riggs tour of Dillon: "this is the Landing Strip, my sil works here and will probably work here forever"

How off the wall is JD's father? Geez... even Coach is scared of him.

I predict that Mr and Mrs Coach will buy the Garrity house.

How come Daddy wasn't waiting up for his daughter when she pulled in at dawn???

Loved the smack down Coach got from Grandma.

Great episode!

Good call on the Taylors buying the house, I definitely could see that happening.

My favorite Riggins line on the "tour" was about that bar, something like, "To them I'm Clay (?), 2 time Iraq war vet."

Oh yeah...

Just wait until Coach finds out, Saracen gets the last laugh on his benching. It's nice to see Julie and Saracen re-connecting.

You just know JD's drunkeness is going to show up on YouTube, which might DQ him for the playoffs.

Loved the Riggins Tour.

I'm glad they finally devoted an episode to JD's character. Gotta feel for that kid.

Grandma chewing out Coach.

Wonderful episode! This show just transcends so many other shows on TV.

I was really surprised they weren't, but then again with the school dance, they might have figured she'd be coming in after they went to bed anyway. They should have shown her coming in about 2 hours earlier to make that more believable. But a small nitpick in an otherwise great episode.

Am I the only one who REALLY likes that new member of Landry's band? I mean, besides the fact that she's cute, I just like the way she is. It's kind of funny, her interactions with Landry.

She does seem perfect for Landry, doesn't she?
But then again....I thought Jean was perfect and he went and screwed that up.. so I'm going to try and not get to attached.

It's funny you mention Jean, because I had the thought while watching those scenes that the role could have been written for her character (they're kinda similar types), but Brea Grant's role on Heroes forced it to be a new character instead.

Anyone know the name of the name of actress playing the bassist?

Great episode.

Re: Friday Night Lights -- "It Ain't Easy Being J.D. McCoy" -- 11/5/08

I wonder how much longer Coach can hold off on keeping himself from blowing up at Joe McCoy? I got a Todd Marinovich angle from his actions. I could tell Coach was more mad at Joe for forcing J.D. to apologize after church than he was at J.D. for getting drunk.

Is it me or did I see a very faint blue dot on J.D. as he was running the Naked Mile? It totally reminded me of Sam Weir running naked through the halls on Freaks and Geeks.

The guys' reactions to Jason singing to his baby boy cracked me up, particularly Billy's.

The less said about the promos for next week, the better. Do they have monkeys working over there at NBC or what?

I googled Devin the bass guitar player + Friday Night Lights and found out that she is played by Stephanie Hunt. No pics or info on IMDB, so she must be brand new.

Shortest hour on tv. And the fact that this cast gets overlooked for the Emmys is disgraceful!

You got that right! It's like this show is too good for television. Others suffer from the same dilemma. They should have a special category for these type shows.

Joe McCoy and Coach: Keep watching!

Jason singing to his baby was adorable.

As far as next weeks promos:
Spoiler:
don't you think it's par for the course as far as Landry is concerned? He always seems to either find someone out of his league (Tyra and Devin) or he just plain screws it up. (Jean)

Matt and Julie: I said it in a earlier post and I'll say it again... it was very out of character to have Julie roll in at dawn and neither one of her parents was waiting up for her.

Keep watching.. it gets better and better!

Good episode for Coach & Street -- loved his uplifting speech to him and the scene at the dance, 'why do you have paint in your hair?'

Really loved the Matt and Julie stuff from last night, this was the first time in along time I enjoyed Street's story, and can't imagine any high school football coach caring if one of his players got drunk the night before. JD looked stupid apologizing to coach during church.

How are the NBC airings doing in the ratings? I will really be disappointed if there is no season 4.

Love Matt's grandma!

I think the ratings have been hovering around 4 to 4.2 million on NBC. Not all that good.
