Ahh fuck. ABC is now on my list. I will be watching two shows on their network after Daisies and DSM end their run - Lost and Scrubs. I dropped CBS last year and may do so to ABC next except for Lost.

'Jericho' Replaces CW's Sunday MRC Programming

'Valentine' and 'Easy Money' will be pulled beginning Nov. 30

"Jericho" fans, rejoice.

The CW has dumped its Sunday night programming by Media Rights Capital and will replace it with various repeats including the canceled CBS fan favorite "Jericho," reports Broadcasting & Cable.

Beginning Nov. 30, "Valentine," "Easy Money," "4 Real" and "In Harm's Way," will get dropped from Sundays so that the network can air "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" in the 5 o'clock hour, repeats of "The Drew Carey Show" at 6 p.m., reruns of "Jericho" at 7 p.m. and a movie purchased from MGM as the anchor for the night.

It was previously announced that this season's scripted Sunday shows -- "Valentine," about a family of Greek gods matchmaking in Los Angeles, and "Easy Money," about a family of loan sharks -- were planning to halt production.

The new schedule is expected to last through the end of the season while The CW regroups.

Network Chief Operating Officer John Maatta notified CW affiliates of the change in a letter Thursday.

"As you know, to focus our efforts on the earlier part of the week, we entered into a time buy agreement with an outside supplier to program Sunday night," he writes. "While this move has clearly paid dividends for the overall schedule, the results on Sunday night have been below expectations. The MRC shows are simply not working. To that end, we have made a business and programming decision to protect our network and your local interests on Sunday for the remainder of the season."

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 25, 2008 - NBC announced today the January 2009 schedule that features the series premieres of "Superstars of Dance" (debuting January 4) and "Howie Do It" (January 9), the returns of "The Biggest Loser: Couples" (January 6) and "Friday Night Lights" (January 16).

Likewise, NBC will broadcast the original movie event "The Last Templar" Sunday and Monday, January 25-26, 9-11 p.m. ET both nights).

NBC also showcases the new specials "Saturday Night Live Sports Extra" on Sunday, January 4 (7-9 p.m. ET) and "Saturday Night Live Film Festival" on Sunday, January 18 (9-11 p.m. ET). "Dateline NBC" also will broadcast a Presidential Inauguration Day Special on Tuesday, January 20 (10-11 p.m. ET).

Among the new night-by-night lineup changes are:

The two-hour premiere of "Superstars of Dance" - from the producers of "So You Think You Can Dance?" -- will be broadcast on Sunday, January 4 (9-11 p.m. ET) before the series resumes in its regular day and time on Monday, January 5 through January 19 (8-10 p.m. ET). The new competition series -- showcasing the world's best and most varied dancers -- will be followed on Mondays by "Momma's Boys" (10-11 p.m. ET), the new alternative series from executive producer Ryan Seacrest.

The season finale of "Superstars of Dance" will wrap on Monday, January 26 (8-9 p.m. ET).

On Tuesdays -- from January 6 -- NBC will telecast "The Biggest Loser: Couples" (8-10 p.m. ET) followed by "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (10-11 p.m. ET).

Fridays will see the debut of "Howie Do It" -- starring Howie Mandel of NBC's "Deal or No Deal" (8-9 p.m. ET) -- beginning January 9.

Eleventh Hour will be around for at least 18 this season.

A CBS insider confirms that the network has ordered five additional episodes of the freshman drama, bringing its season 1 total to 18.

Since premiering in October, Hour has averaged 12 million viewers and ranks No. 20 among all prime-time shows. Sure, it loses a chunk of its sizeable CSI lead in, but, hey, 12 million viewers is nothing to sneeze at.

CBS today announced mid-season schedule changes that include the return of the drama FLASHPOINT, the premiere of the mystery event HARPER'S ISLAND, the debut of the new game show GAME SHOW IN MY HEAD and the returns of the Network's reality hits SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE.

FLASHPOINT, last summer's top original scripted series, premieres Friday, Jan. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

FLASHPOINT, starring Enrico Colantoni, Hu gh Dillon, Amy Jo Johnson, David Paetkau, Michael Cram, Sergio Di Zio, Ruth Marshall and Mark Taylor, depicts the emotional journey into the tough, risk-filled lives of a group of cops in the Strategic Response Unit (inspired by Toronto's Emergency Task Force).

FLASHPOINT is produced by Pink Sky Entertainment in association with CBS Paramount Network Television. Bill Mustos and Anne Marie La Traverse are executive producers.

HARPER'S ISLAND, a 13-episode mystery event, premieres Thursday, April 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and concludes Thursday, July 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT). HARPER'S ISLAND is about a group of family and friends who travel to a secluded island for a destination wedding. They've come to laugh... to love... and, though they don't know it... to die. UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - December 3, 2008 -- NBC unveiled today a wide spectrum of its post-January mid-season schedule that features the series premieres of the new drama "Kings" (March 19) with a two-hour event, plus the season debuts of "Medium" (February 2) and a two-hour "Celebrity Apprentice" (March 1) -- as well as original episode returns for "Chuck" (returning with a special "3-D" episode February 2), "Heroes" (which begins "Fugitives," a new volume on February 2) and "Life" (February 4) -- and the movie event "XIII" (February 8 & 15). "The Celebrity Apprentice" and host Donald Trump will return with two-hour episodes and a dynamic cast of brilliant celebrity business minds. Last season saw Piers Morgan defeat Trace Adkins to become the first Celebrity Apprentice. This season, 16 new celebrities will be vying for the coveted title, using all their business savvy as they fight for causes close to their hearts. Celebrities will be subjected to long hours, grueling mental challenges, personality clashes, and intense scrutiny -- all without the help of their regular support system of agents, managers, and personal assistants. Ultimately, they will face the judgment of Donald Trump and his advisors in the boardroom, which will include his children (and colleagues), Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr.

this is the last season. they ordered 2 more episodes, presumably to tie up all the loose ends.

After episode 16 airs on December 22, the show will be off the air until spring for the final 6 episodes and possibly 2 more.

There isn't a guantreed that this is Prison Break's last season. The ratings have been getting better lately.

yeah, it pretty much is. the creators of the show have said it's run it's course and there isn't much else to do. the 2 episode extra that fox gave them is all but a sign that they are to use them to wrap up the show.

I'm a bit late to this thread, but I'm disappointed about the cancellation of "Easy Money." I thought it was the most interesting new series of the season and worth more of a shot. And though I see folks are giving a lot of love to "Dirty, Sexy Money," I thought the show really went downhill this year. And as for "Pushing Daisies," I'm ready to purge it my DVR's series recording list anyway. Unfortunately, the proposed midseason replacements don't seem any better.

'Californication' Gets Third Season

It's back to bed for Showtime with the 3rd season pick-up of the Golden Globe Award-winning comedy series Californication, it was announced by Robert Greenblatt, Showtime President of Entertainment.

Series star and executive producer David Duchovny, who won a Golden Globe Award for his work as 'Hank Moody,' a novelist with weaknesses for sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll, will resume production next spring on 12 episodes for a late 2009 premiere.

The series centers around the unique and sophisticated world of Hank Moody, a hedonistic novelist/blogger who struggles to raise his Goth-loving teenaged daughter (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for his disapproving ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone). His unapologetic obsession with truth-telling and self-destructive behavior complicates every aspect of his life.

I believe it has a full 22 episode season.

As with most network shows, it's fate will be decided in May.
