I was really interested in that show before it came on but then never got to watch it. I guess its one i'll have to watch through the season sets, which i guess is bad for the show since buying the dvds do not do too much for the ratings.

It says that this ABC schedule is not finalized. It seems obvious by ratings that Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money are goners, but I am going to wait for the official release from ABC before I start to mourn Dirty Sexy Money. And to get rid of it before Eli Stone?

I don't care about Lost, but 2 episodes of Scrubs AND Life On Mars? I'm there! I hope Life On Mars gets a full order. It just keeps getting better with every episode. And hopefully Scrubs will return to form since it is on a network that actually cares about it.

While I did find the story interesting, I'm not sure how long they could keep this going.

There was one thing that always bugged me: Raymond (Mike O'Malley) does a better job acting in my local Time Warner commercials than in MOWE.

Add in the fact that "Life" (on NBC) also airs on Wednesday night, and Wednesday night has the potential to steal the spotlight from Monday and Thursday for me.

Updated the original post with My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle getting canned.

Also, Sanctuary on the Sci-Fi Channel got renewed for a 2nd season.

Another update:

Privileged extended to 18 episodes this season. Not quite 22, but I will take it.

I shall as well. I was an enormous fan of Gilmore Girls, and this show has managed to bring about a feeling that is very reminisce of the trials of the Bledel and company.

ABC seems to really like DSM and its gets decent ratings for its 10pm slot so it may be shuffled to a different night. Daisies is pretty much dead (though rumors are saying the show may get picked up for a third season and another 13 episodes).

Don't tease me like that...

But I would welcome shorter seasons of PD if it get's us more eps. 13 eps seems like a good length for a season/story arc.

Lost is on Wednesdays now. Am I going crazy or was it on Thursdays last season? And the season before that was on Monday's?

I just read that if Pushing Daisies gets canceled that the story will be finished via a comic book.

(I read it in the elevator on the news tv thingie)

In Thursday's LA Times, Bryan Fuller seems pretty resigned to that fact that he's only getting 13 episodes this season. They just finished shooting episode 13 this week. He's crossing his fingers that ABC might give him a 13 episode 3rd season, but it's doubtful.

Some more updates:

Gary Unmarried gets a full season

Worst Week gets 3 more episodes (now at 16)

Medium gets 6 more episodes (now at 19) The article mentions that it could return at the Monday at 10pm timeslot.

If you want to know where some shows stand, look at my original post.

As for "Medium," show received a shortened 13-episode order for this season. But with several holes developing on NBC's sked, Peacock probably anticipates a greater need for the show. "Medium" had originally been slated for Sunday nights when it returns, but could now conceivably air on Mondays -- in the slot that will be vacated by "My Own Worst Enemy."
So Chuck, Heroes and Medium? Odd Combo..

CBS Orders Additional Gary Unmarried & Worst Week; NBC orders more "Medium"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081117/tv_nm/us_orders

CBS has ordered additional episodes of freshman comedies "Gary Unmarried" and "Worst Week."

The network picked up seven episodes of "Gary Unmarried," which stars Jay Mohr as a newly divorced family man. That brings the total order to 20. Although still shy of the standard 22 episodes, CBS is calling the move a full-season order because the network also purchased two scripts.

CBS also ordered three episodes of "Worst Week," an adaptation of a hit British ensemble family comedy.

"Unmarried" has averaged 7.4 million viewers, and "Worst Week" 9.9 million. Although "Week" is higher rated, it has the luxury of a powerful "Two and a Half Men" lead-in, whereas "Unmarried" has a much more modest push from "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

In addition, NBC has ordered a half-dozen additional episodes of "Medium," its veteran supernatural drama starring Patricia Arquette. The order brings the total to 19.

"Medium" producers previously were told to have the show ready to return to air for its fifth season before the first of the year. Given that NBC has canceled "My Own Worst Enemy," which resides in the 10 p.m. Monday slot that housed "Medium" last year, a return to its former home seems likely.

Last season, NBC aired "Medium" without breaks or repeats after the holidays to avoid scheduling disruption of the show. That is the preferred route to maximize viewership, but it's not clear if the network has any option other than to get the show back on the air quickly.

Reuters/Hollywood Reporter
This is good news for Worst Week, which is funny without needing a laugh track!

Shows picked up for a full season/renewed thread (2008-09)

I've been doing a list updating all the renewals/cancellations, episode orders etc. This story is already included.

And I posted here that the CW has taken back Sunday nights and will program their own shows again.
