Iron Chef America (10/26/08) - "Battle Affol" (Halloween Themed Episode)
Talk about gross.
The Next Iron Chef contestant Chris Cosentino (who lost "Battle Garlic" against Mario Batali) takes on Iron Chef Michael Symon in this weird and grotesque battle.
Offal (as I have learned tonight) is the entrails and internal organs of animals... basically the left over parts. Some of the things used in this battle were:
Yuck.
Anyways... the results:

- duck tongues
- cock crowns
- duck fries (testicles)
- tripe
- sweetbreads

I just saw Chris Cosentino last weekend- he was one of the judges at the Red Bull Soapbox Race. Both he and Symon are masters of offal cooking. Battle affol?
