Wow, I'm not sure how to feel about that as far as the plot goes, kinda sucked for everyone (That's what she said).
Good episode, just really drama-heavy... but I think it's clear they're setting up for Holly's departure.

The last few minutes, with Michael getting on everyone's ass to take the training, pretty much saved the episode. The subplot with Dwigt and Jim was pretty good, though.

I'm a bit disappointed that Creed has been so far in the background this season. I know we only really get maybe 3-4 golden moments from each of the supporting players each season, but I love the Creed ones the best. Let's hope we get one soon.

I liked this episode, too. Even if it wasn't especially funny, it had more good character development, which I always support. So far this season, the show seems to be consciously trying to get back to the formula that made it so great in the earlier seasons (Season 1 and 2) - ie, scaled down plots that dwell more on what is going with the characters within the office, rather than extending to extraneous settings and situations. I really think the show works much, MUCH better when it sticks with the smaller scale approach.
I also liked how Jim's "big announcement" of his engagement to Pam was mostly greeted with indifference and never even mentioned again the rest of the episode.
And yes, I think the groundwork is being set up for Amy Ryan's departure from the show one way or another. I'm pretty sure she only signed on for a few episodes this season.
