Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Seduction" -- 10/6/08

Photobucket

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Chuck goes undercover to pluck an important device from toxic spy the Black Widow (Melinda Clarke). But to penetrate her web, he must first learn the fine art of seduction from suave superspy Roan Montgomery (John Larroquette), whose best days are likely behind him. Elsewhere, Morgan provides unlikely romantic advice to Captain Awesome; and Lester adapts to his new position at Buy More.

Special Guest Star Melinda Clarke. Damn, did I miss seeing her on TV!

IMO it's similar to CSI and other shows like that. It's consistantly good but there's no huge revelations that happen like Heroes, Lost, 24, etc, so there really isn't a whole lot that needs to be discussed.

That said, I thought it was a good episode, as I usually do

This week's episode did horrible.

5.89M viewers. I think that's the lowest ever for this series.

The only bright side is NBC already committed to a full 22 episode season.

I wish ABC would move DWTS to Saturday nights in an effort to revive the 7th night of programming. Maybe then the shows i like on Mondays will get more viewers.

it's sad, this is such a fun, cookie-cutter show. just bc it isn't edgy, dark, and thought-provoking i think it gets a bad shake. this ep was particularly light-hearted and plain fun.

I love this show... unfortunately there is just too much good TV on Monday nights. I personally DVR Prison Break, Sarah Conner and Chuck while watching Monday Night Football. I think Dancing with the Stars is on too... why don't these freakin networks try to space things out a bit instead of splitting their viewers among shows that are at the same target audience? In the end neither show wins and the viewer gets screwed because the show is cancelled.

Loved this ep - Melinda Clarke was awesome and Laroquette was wicked. The low ratings piss me off and I really hope that there is no going back on the full season commitment.

Solid episode. Great light hearted fun. A few roll eyes moments between Chuck and Sarah, but over it was good. And Laroquette absolutely kicks ass!!! I hope to see him back for more episodes.

Heroes should take a page from the Chuck book. Look what good things you can do with minimal characters, working with those characters, and growing those characters. You don't need a cast of 25+ people to make a show interesting and fun.

This show would have been great on Saturday nights if the networks hadn't given up on that day for original programming.

This show makes me giggle.

We need more of Dr. Bartowski leaning over the couch.

Larroquette was the perfect guest star.

Melinda Clarke isn't aging well.

Too much Lester is not a good thing.

Another great episode. Favorite show going right now - surpassing House.

Yvonne Strahovski in the tight orange top crawling toward the camera on the floor: The fact she's Australian makes her 100x hotter. Love her accent.

Cute little vid of her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWTNu3T44Tg

I think a lot of it had to do with her hair and makeup. Stick her in the Lady Heather look (from CSI) and I'm sure she'd shine up nicely.

Spoiler:
Yes, I think you're right. Tony Hale is joining the cast.

So is there a recurring theme going on with the music on this show? So far I believe we're heard "I Want a New Drug", "Power of Love" and "Hip to be Square". Doing an awful lot of Huey Lewis, no? What does it mean?

Okay so now that Traveler is dead and gone, out pops Mathew Bomer as Bryce again? Hmm. Not sure if that is going to be fun or annoying.

That's right. Thanks - I knew there was another one! "Stuck with You" can't be far off.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to say how I really enjoyed the whole Casey trying to act like he didn't care at the end then ran to join them. LOL!
