Growing Pains episode questions.....

There was an episode where the family (perhaps without Ben) went to some dinner theater to see a play where all the women were actually men dressed in drag. No one told Mike who was all about one of the "girls." Anyway, I was looking for the episode or, more specifically, the name of the play.

Thanks.

Pretty sure because he was a moron, and would do "bonehead" things or "pull a boner". Nothing to do with an engorged penis

Because his last name is "Stabone."

I didn't know he was Chekov's/Bester's son.

I don't have the answer to the original question and don't even remember that episode.

i guess i should have said who thought it was a good idea too name a character on a family tv show "boner". not that i was offended but that it was pretty weird.

Also, his first name was Dick (Richard). It worked on so many levels...

That's one of the few facts I actually remember from Growing Pains.

Mike: "You're father's name is Sylvester Stabone?!"

Hey, if M*A*S*H can name a African American javelin thrower "Spearchucker" and Leave it to Beaver can name a child "Whitey", I see no problem with "Boner"

Whitey? What about beaver? I watched a few recently and the mom always talking about her beaver seemed a little weird. Is that a relatively new saying?

Wow, I never knew the Chekhov/Boner connection either...

I recall Boner had an affinity for fish sticks on one episode:

[Burp!] "That's the fish sticks talking."

at everything. The OP asking for specific episode and everyone hijacked this whole thread without a single answer.

I remembered which one that was over the weekend while driving somewhere (don't ask how/why). Anyway, I think it was the one where some girl befriended Carol just to try to hit on Mike. Mike and Boner were working on that science experiment or something, hence the torso cast.

try this.

http://epguides.com/GrowingPains/guide.shtml

Although, a couple days ago I was watching an episode where Mike, Carol and Ben went with their grandmother to see a play where all the "girls" were men. Mike was all excited, Carol knew what the play was and Jason tried to tell Mike about it but Carol cut him off saying she already told him what it was. Jason and Maggie tried to celebrate their anniversary but had a tough time doing it.

that was the one! thanks. I'm sure I can find it from there.

there was also an hour long Halloween special that was pretty bizarre that I've been looking forward to seeing again (after having seen it as a kid/teenager several times on vhs back in the day).
